I hope your week was better than mine. Some days are not really ment to wake and stand up. My PC died today, my bankaccount is blank (and no, I am not starting complaining about clients), the autofocus of my 85mm lense stopped working and the weather is bad (plus - there were many other things which went wrong.)

Please start crossing your fingers for a better weekend, for I am attending a wedding as the bride of honor and also being photographer (and I can´t find my flash !!!).

PS: Realized it is friday, 13th. No I am not superstitious.

PPS: Thank you all for your kind words. It starts working - well not really. The wedding gift I ordered to be made - was done with wrong names on it. I was so shocked in the shop, that I also forgot being angry. They had to do it* again in a period of really short time - but finally they got it* right. (* sorry can´t write what it is for I am not knowing whether the bride is reading here )

The vegetation with sharp thorns in the arid roadsides nearby the holy Mount Ararat is symbolic for the actual relations between Turkey and Iran…I would describe it as forced friendship…

As is true for other countries in the Middle East, the Arab Spring casts a shadow over the Turkish-Iranian relations. Particularly the crisis in Syria puts the opposing interests clearly exposed. Turkey chose just plain party against the incumbent regime, whilst Iran showed faithful support to the regime of Assad.

But both countries are not in the postion to offend each other too severely because of their great economic interdependence. Iran remains an important partner for Turkey's energy security and for Iran Turkey is, due to international sanctions, the largest buyer of Iranian natural gas. And militairy speaking for both countries it's wise to stay friends.

In March 2012 the international freezing of the bankaccounts of Iran was completed. Shortly afterwards, the gold exports from Turkey to Iran suddenly grew exponentially. By paying gas in pure gold Turkey evaded international sanctions because gold can be easily traded beyond the international banking system.

What people leave behind keeps on surprising me. The owners of this beautiful villa must have a 7 digit bankaccount as they did not bother to take everything with them when they left. Living here is living in style!

All I know is that it was a private owned villa, owned by a big industrial magnate who probably found an even more beautiful villa somewhere else.

Sorry to see that a beauty like this cannot find a new owner to give her it's glory back...

I created this shot in my studio for use on my site, AssistedSeniorLiving.Net but I want to share it since it is applicable to much more than just senior retirement planning. Feel free to use this image but please check out our website at www.AssistedSeniorLiving.Net and give us a little love. It is very difficult to get seniors to +1 so your help can really help us establish the site as a great resource for caregivers and seniors.

So as anyone might have guessed I am moving to Vienna again, well I have moved in a way, but we have no own flat yet, but I have and austrian phonenumber, bankaccount and soon ID...

...at the moment I spend about half of my time in Sweden and half in the citystate of Vienna (yes it is it's own Bundesland) (is that a greengrocer's S?) it is a bit easier to move here this time since, I have moved here before, yes I moved here in 2009 (I think) the first time...

I am trying not to let this adjustment affect my art, and selling of collectors toys online.

But off cause looking for apartments, filling in government papers and restarting a new life takes its toll on available time that could be used creating and selling... So I apologized for having less time...

But I guess it all will settle to normality or rather abnormality after some passing time...

...and time will probably pass, unless I pass away, which I am not planning too do any time soon...

...anyhow Vienna is exacly as when I left it, which is a positive thing for me...

...well a bit more expensive, but so is Sweden, a little bit less brothels and gambling halls in the central parts and a new skyscraper or two, but otherwise just the same...

...it is also harder to work locked up at home, since now I know there is a lovely city outside...

...therefor I have come up with a plan, when I have done my 1 hour planned cleaning and posted my auctions online, I have a painting prepainted this morning that only lacks the ballpoint part and I will take it to the park with my ballpoint biros and finish it there...

...there I will finish it, catching some lovely sping sun, listen to people talking and gossiping around me, yes I am going to Bruno Kreisky park nearby...

...and smack I will make two flies pregnant in one go, instead of sitting at home listening to radio...

Wish me luck, or rather: "break a leg" as my paternal grandfathers used to say, oh I meant my paternal grandmothers...

Peace and Noise!

Alleen weg gelegd voor de hele rijken wonen op 1 km². Als je als buitenstaander in aanmerking wil komen voor een woning, dan moet je meer dan 2 miljoen op je bankrekening hebben staan.

Only for the rich, living in Monaco on 1 km² . You can life there iff you have more tham 2 million on your bankaccount.

The watermelon cutting was done in the morning, and laying them in rows. Here we put them in boxes. Average temperature 41 degrees celsius.Hottest day was 47 degrees celcius.Nearest town :Darwin at 1000 miles. Money in my bankaccount 20 dollars. The german Farmer used to yell. "Dont bump the melons or you are out of here".I was good at stapling the slippery things.I'm in the left box. Standing barefeet on top of them , working your way up to about 15 cm under the edge. Then comes the tricky part , the upper melons have to stand vertically in a circle around the edge of the box, then the middle part can be filled also. In this way you can get max 1200 kilo's in one box. That's cheaper transportation to Sydney and Melbourne. But they are very slippery, and the tractor is bouncing.

I'm SO sick and tired of the world right now YUK!

There's gonna be a lot of nagging here, so if you don't need that, don't read it ;)

It's like puting effort in things and not getting anything in return.

I got to this point today of stop placing my photos online and stop with my 52 weeks project.

Not that I want to stop doing the project or to stop photographing, just that I realised today that I get a bit frustrated about it.

Maybe it's because of the nagging reactions I had on the welovejeanique project. Don't get me wrong, 'cause I love what they do for me, but I can't stand the negative reactions towards me, like I start a donation for myself, hell no! I would NEVER do such thing for ME!

It really hurted that someone dearly texted me "I don't support the action, so you know" and never replied on my "I don't like this text you give me the feeling I started it myself" it almost felt like I don't deserve it......

Maybe I just reached the point that I need more for my photos. Don't get me wrong, your sweet sweet comments mean A LOT to me, you guys really rock! But I start wondering if I want to keep this going. Noone likes to work for free, and after two years now...well you get me...

And sometimes I get e-mails from "buyers" that want to buy one of my photos and when I give my price they are like "No that's too much" or don't ever reply back to me. Like wtf! If you want a cheap wallpaper go to the Ikea and you can buy loads of massproductions for 50 euro's and find out your grandmother has the same thing in her livingroom. And my prices are not that high! But I guess people that are not 'artist' don't get the point about the ammount of work. They see a photo and don't see the lot of time put into it, the idea etc etc. If I wanted to be a commercial biatch I would sell 200 copies of 1 photo for nothing. But I'm not like that.

It would have been much easier to be a painter, you can count the hours, the materials, the idea et voila you have 1 painting and 1 price.

The thing also is that I don't have business skills at all. I know what I want and don't want. But I don't want to carry arround from door to door "See me, see my work, BUY ME" no. 'Cause my photos are all little pieces of me. I don't want to sell for the money, I want to sell 'cause someone sees something in my work. Sees the effort, sees the idea, the thoughts, me.

I believe that what needs to come comes. If my work is good enough I believe I will get some opportunities, If not, well than I have to find something else to do ;)

Don't worry, I'm in a bad mood for days now, so maybe it's just that and checking my bankaccount didn't help either. ;)

And please don't get me wrong, it's just me being frustrated, and I don't want to sound arrogant, superior or anything! 'Cause it's not that. I'm just a little sad..And frustrated like I said..and it stings that sometimes it feels like I'm dependent...and I don't want to feel dependent....

I need to sleep this over for a week or so..

. . . And hang your washing

Along the path to colour therapy I came accross this old VW, it looks like somebodys been living in it for a while (hence the washing line). Now that South Africa is officially in resession It made me think of what the definition of a home is. For some people with money it means a large seaside estate, others want a white pickett fence. For many people without such luxurys as a job or bank account its just a place that you can get out of the rain and rest your feet.

Dictionary definition:

1. a house, apartment, or other shelter that is the usual residence of a person, family, or household.

2. the place in which one's domestic affections are centered.

3. an institution for the homeless, sick, etc.: a nursing home.

4. the dwelling place or retreat of an animal.

5. the place or region where something is native or most common.

6. any place of residence or refuge: a heavenly home.

These scans come from my rather large magazine collection. Instead of filling my house with old moldy magazines, I scanned them (in most cases, photographed them) and filled a storage area with moldy magazines. Now they reside on an external hard drive. I thought others might appreciate these tidbits of forgotten history.

Design for paypal wall paper contest . It uses the PayPal colorsheme plus the new PayPal logo. The coin is actually the 2 eurocent coin with few change like the colorings. And the globe now show also the rest of the world instead of just Europe. It says PayPal my two cents, because my two cents is an idiom for my opinion. Also PayPal check up your bank by sending very small amount and some do get 2 cents on their bankaccount.
