Macro Monday: #Circles

7DWF, Monday: Anything Goes Theme

Width: 5,5 x 5,5 cm / 2,1 x 2,1 inches

Some M&M's for MM ;-) A quick capture from today. Got home late yesterday, and the living room was filled with sunshine - which is nice, but it gave me rather harsh shadows. Made a new attempt a little later with light from my DIY softbox, but still got shadows, and the light was too yellow-ish for my taste. So I decided to give it another try today, with natural daylight (and no sunshine in the room, yet). Set ISO to 250, because I took the capture handheld. It's a little noisy and grainy, so I cleaned the background in Dfine (and brightened it a little in Viveza). Well, life is noisy and grainy sometimes, isn't it? Oh, and there is a word "hidden" here...

A Happy Macro Monday, Everyone!

Macro Mondays/ "Redux 2017--My Favorite Theme of the Year: Buttons and bows/ bokeh

For the theme "Tradition"

Sulfur-flowered Buckwheat (Sulphurflower) has balls of tiny flowers at the end of nearly bare stalks.

Apparently, this is a highly variable species of native wildflowers, with color variation and size differences depending on its location and growth conditions. These were vigorous, but despite their vigor and profusion of blooms, they were less than 12 inches (30 cm) tall.

Look in largest size to see the individual tiny flowers.

Macro Mondays theme Five

Running a bit behind at the moment! I've just returned from visiting my mother in Devon (220 miles away) who is in the latter stages of dementia, she slept throughout each of my visits - a bit soul destroying.

These are five mini chocolate snow balls (on a bed of sparkly icing sugar) - they are only available at Christmas, so it's a must!

The frame measures around 6cm across.

Happy Macro Mondays! 😊

Across from the zoo in Mexico City, a long row of stylized tennis balls depicting various imaginative creations filled the sidewalk.

Globe Thistles with honey bees. Taken in a local park.

Sweet Chestnuts. Taken in Kensington Gardens.
