We are a species on a journey

We have no belongings but luggage

We go with the pollen in the wind

We are alive because we are on the move

We are never still, we are transhumant

We are parents, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of immigrants

It is more mine what I dream than what I touch.

Good weekend to all.

Sometimes new rejection brings back old baggage and you just need someone to hear you, to love you despite your many flaws....

We are all broken........

People you trusted and confided in shouldn't be disposable in any life!

Black and white re-edit of a shot from November 2018.

I wondered around the indoor market at Barnsley during a rain shower while on assignment in the town. I couldn't resist this shot though I am not sure if I prefer the colour or black and white version. The square crop was necessary for the composition though.

A lot of indoor shopping centres and malls in the UK prohibit photography so I was pleased to see there was no signs at the door here. It was a wonderful indoor market with wide aisles, lots of variety and a really welcoming atmosphere.

Enjoy!

The items in this shot were represented as being checked through for train passage at the Deckerville Train Depot. The Depot is one of about a dozen buildings that are part of the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum, in Port Sanilac, Michigan. I attended a Civil War Days reenactment event there in 2016.

While visiting Llangollen Railway Station I saw this display of Baggage on the Platform......

It is always lovely to see a bird that you are familiar with on Flickr in its native environment. These are iconic U.K birds!

This one was very friendly and allowed me to get quite close with my normal lens. I didn't have much luck with birds or deer for that matter on this trip. Despite lugging my big lens half way across the world and paying for extra baggage for the privilege!

But you know what would have happened if I didn't bring it.... at least that is what I told the Sherpa.

:::... Lauv - Modern Loneliness ...:::

I’ve been thinking about my father lately, the person that he made me, the person I’ve become

And I’ve been trying to fill all of this empty, but I’m still so empty

Yeah, I could use some love

And I’ve been trying to find a reason to get up

Been trying to find a reason for this stuff

In bedroom and my closet, the baggage in my heart is still so dark

Modern loneliness

We’re never alone but always depressed,

Love my friends to death but I never call, I never text

You get what you give and you give what you get, so

Modern loneliness

We love to get high but we don’t know how to come down

If I could break my DNA to pieces, rid of all my demons

If I could cleanse my soul

Then I could fill the world with all my problems, but shit that wouldn’t solve them

So I’m left here alone

And I’ve been trying to find a reason to get up

Been trying to find a reason for this stuff

In bedroom and my closet, the baggage in my heart is still so dark

We’re never alone but we’re always depressed

Just playing around some props and with my baby / jugando un rato con algunas cosas y mi bebé

I fear being trapped in the past. Grasping only air that slips through my fingers as I fall.

What are some of your fears?
