The Drobo unit I bought arrived last night. This is one amazing
device! If you are like me who has a room cluttered with external hard
drives and using an inefficient backup strategy ((I just dumped Norton
Ghost!), the Drobo is heaven sent! I am using an iPhone so I can't

Unfortunately, I hit a snag on my system which prevented the Drobo
from working. I tried using two 500gb drives from a shitty SimpleTech
unit and the Drobo failed to recognize the drives. I can't even use
Windows to format it! Does anybody have a solution? How can I erase a
proprietary system and reformat it normally?
