Yes, those are milk crates. I've had them for almost 17 years, and they work great for temporary shelving. (Or even more semi-permanent furniture when I was in college) Hoping to replace them with some Ikea shelving for this stuff at some point

Basically I'm typographically depicting lyrics within 2 songs: Papa's got a brand new bag- by James Brown, and Coconut - by Harry Nilson. I have now animated the type, and I'll post up on my flickr once i've got my results back! - all you can see is hand drawn.
