School has finally started and they are a 2nd and 3rd grader! Holy Cow time is flying. They are so big and grown up. Suffering from a junior onset of empty nest ;-)

New Chapter for the Sayer-Luu’s. Ethan’s first day at Secondary school and Autumn starts her first year of GCSE’s. Eek!

So yesterday after inservice I pressure cleaned for several hours in front of my classroom and swept all the dirt off the whole area. The head custodian even scored me a nice rubber mat in front of my door to help keep the constant sand out of my classroom!

This afternoon when we got back to school the yard guy has driven up on the sidewalk with the riding mower, sucked up my mat, chewed it up. and then tossed dirt all over my sidewalk.

I wasn't happy!

Our second grader wrote this letter to us (his parents) for Back to School Night.

There goes my heart...oh goodness time goes by too quickly! I started working part time when he was born so we have had lots of quality mommy and son time. I cried when I left the kindergarten room (silly mom).

Took the kids in today for their back to school haircuts--Zane and Znader receiving the most significant cropping.
