978 children and families attended the 2015 Back to School Celebration at Dallas Market Center on Wednesday, August 19. JCPenney supplied backpacks and uniforms for 700 school-age children, and attendees enjoyed games, snacks, karaoke, and more!

Marquette’s 11,000-plus students are back on campus for another school year. Incoming freshmen got a head start through Marquette’s renowned orientation program, which includes information sessions, small-group discussions, late night festivities, a pep rally, a square dance and New Student Convocation. Ann Patchett, author of Run, this year's First Year Reading Program selection, was a featured speaker at Convocation. Students, faculty and administrators then celebrated the start of the school year at the All-University Mass of the Holy Spirit and Welcome Back Picnic.
