The first BMW M car, the BMW M1 was conceived to challenge Porsche in the mid-1970's Sports Car Championship. Delays with development partner, Lamborghini, led to a late launch of 1979 yet the M1 provided huge entertainment during the two year Procar series which accompanied some Gran Prixs. Many top F1 drivers drove 450bhp racing M1s against private owners. The M1 also won its class at Le Mans on several occasions and in other great road races. The ultimate BMW M1 was the German GT series contender which had twin turbo chargers and produced 850bhp.
This particular BMW M1 was extensively refurbished in 2016 in time for BMW's centenary and celebrations at The Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Clothed in an elegant body designed by Count Albrecht von Goetz, the BMW 507 was powered by the first German post-war all-aluminium eight cylinder engine. Its quintessentially 1950s style was every bit as appropriate to take Audrey Hepburn to Tiffany's for breakfast as it was to cover long continental journeys in sybaritic comfort. Elvis Presley owned this particular model!
The BMW 507 is a roadster that was produced by BMW from 1956 to 1959. Initially intended to be exported to the United States at a rate of thousands per year, it ended up being too expensive, resulting in a total production figure of 252 cars and heavy losses for BMW.
John Surtees was given a 507 by Count Agusta for winning the 1956 500cc World Motorcycle Championship on a MV Agusta. Surtees worked with Dunlop to develop disc brakes for the front wheels of the 507 and his 507 eventually had disc brakes on all four wheels. Surtees owned his 507 until his death. Following his death, the Surtees car sold for £3,809,500 plus commission in July 2018. The 507 owned by Albrecht von Goertz was sold for £2,367,000 plus commission at Bonhams on 1 December 2018.

Spotted in the Shipyards District, North Vancouver.
North Vancouver’s past and present meet up in The Shipyards District, also known as Lower Lonsdale. In this neighbourhood, you’ll find shipbuilding and where the working tugboats live as well as boutiques, specialty food shops, galleries, craft breweries, distillery, cidery, and restaurants of every description and antique stores.
Lower Lonsdale is North Vancouver’s oldest neighbourhood, steeped in history and bursting with shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs that truly capture the unique spirit of the North Shore. The area extends four blocks up Lonsdale Avenue and two blocks east and west, but its heart is at The Shipyards.
Die BMW Isetta war ein Rollermobil, das die Bayerischen Motorenwerke von 1955 bis 1962 bauten. Der Hersteller bezeichnete das zwischen Motorrad und Auto einzuordnende Fahrzeug als „Motocoupé“.

And still more E21s... Is the car on the right a genuine Alpina C1? It's a 2.3 and has the right bootlid badge and stripes. Untaxed since 1998!
The Baur convertible is also a 2.3, last MOT expired in 2008.
Wikipedia: The BMW R75 is a World War II-era motorcycle and sidecar combination produced by the German company BMW. The BMW R75 stands out by its integral two-wheel drive design, with drive shafts to both its rear wheel and the third side-car wheel, from a locking differential, as well as a transfer case offering both road and off-road gear ratios, through which all forward and reverse gears worked. This made the R75 highly maneuverable and capable of negotiating most surfaces. A few other motorcycle manufactures, like FN and Norton, offered optional drive to sidecars.
I saw these BMW parked in front of the local private primary school, just up the orad from my house, and I couldn't resist and had to get a photo of it.
