Die gewaltige Jama Masjid in Delhi im Norden Indiens ist die größte Moschee des Landes und die größte Freitagsmoschee der Welt. Sie erhebt sich auf einem felsigen Hügel, dem Bho Jhala, über das Häusermeer von Alt-Delhi.
Die Moschee wurde im Jahr 1658 fertiggestellt, in genau jenem Jahr, in dem Shah Jahan von seinem eigenen Sohn vom Thron gestürzt wurde.
The massive Jama Masjid in Delhi in northern India is the largest mosque in the country and the largest Friday mosque in the world. It rises on a rocky hill, the Bho Jhala, over the sea of houses in Old Delhi.
The mosque was completed in 1658, the very year that Shah Jahan was overthrown by his own son.

To Omni International in 1985, Ladeco as CC-CHC in 1986 and Nationwide Air Charter as ZS-NYY in 1996. Withdrawn from use at Lanseria in 2007 and scrapped.

Had another great trip to Lewis and the weather was great through the day which was ideal for the kids but unfortunately most nights it got fairly cloudy which was not so good for the photography but still got a few outings.
I love this location but personally I still think I have to do it justice but I will be back ;-)
