Taken at the top of a long uphill hike. We were both out of breath by the time we made it to the top. He is doing quite well for a 10 year old dog.
One of our 'must stop' destinations when we are in the area is Bests Winery at Great Western. They make the best white port. In their grounds is a range of old grape-making implements.

Somebody asked me lately what I liked about America. And I really couldn't come up with an answer for a long time. I like the desert, its immensity, its emptiness, its alienation. But I like it only for days or hours, when it flickers behind your car's window, when you can posses it, enclose it in your camera. If you look at the desert for too long , it seems to grow and its emptiness, its alienation that you were so fond of before becomes a thrilling spectacle.
So I decided that the one thing that I like about America unconditionally is Good Will. Red, pixie shoes, 2.99. I love this country:)
