Here's the trophy for Best Wreckage in the Battle theme at Bricks Cascade 2015. It was made by Mountain Division Films, with a couple of tweaks from me. The trophy features an aircraft carrier that is leaking oil into a great slick and a smaller ship that is fully engulfed in fire. (Things are bad headed toward worse for both ships....) It went to ArticCommando for the Battle of Ortona.
these kids were playing in the ground when suddenly spotted me shooting them .. they just stopped for a second and gave that ethereal trade smile .. pure serene and happiness written all over it ..

Mi scuso già con chi avrà il coraggio di leggere ciò, per la lunghezza!
Come molti ormai sapete, quella della fotografia è una passione che cresce dentro me come un vortice pieno di emozioni, di colori, di idee, voglie di metterci fantasia, curiosare, scoprire, sempre di più, ogni tecnica, ogni angolo inesplorato, ogni metodo per migliorare. E in questo campo è sempre tempo per apprendere e migliorarsi.
E' stato un anno fotograficamente pieno, e volevo raccogliere i dieci scatti migliori, che più sento dentro, e per i quali potrei stare ore a parlarne.. alcuni meditati per giorni, mesi.. altri scatti "rubati" o improvvisati e poi diventati addirittura i miei preferiti!
Ogni fotografia è come una storia, mi ricordo ogni momento in cui, tenendo il respiro, l'otturatore ha scattato. Ricordo ogni rumore, ogni odore; ogni scatto è come fosse una parte di me, mi racconta tanto di persone che non conoscerò mai eppure son lì, che le guardo ogni giorno e ne conosco a memoria i tratti.
E' stato difficile per me sceglierne solo dieci, ma spero anche per voi siano apprezzabili.. se vi andasse mi farebbe anche piacere sapere quale di questi vi piace di più!
E' una piccolezza, una sciocchezza, lo so, ma ogni "mi piace" su ogni foto io lo prendo come un "ho apprezzato il tuo lavoro, riconosco la passione che ti muove, le giornate al freddo per due scatti se va bene, i pomeriggi a rivedere ogni fotografia una ad una".. ma so anche che forse molti di voi neppure lo pensano, lasciando un mi piace privo di emozione (perchè a volte è anche così che Facebook funziona), ma a me piace pensarlo ugualmente, perchè ogni freddo preso, ogni scatto catturato dopo 5/6 ore di camminare mi da quella sensazione di volerlo rifare, e rifare ancora, con nuovi soggetti, nuovi angoli, per tutta la vita.. ne sono sicuro!
Un nuovo anno è alle porte e ho molte idee, nuove e tante, iniziando da martedì, con una sessione di scatti un po' particolare, ai quali penso da un po' !
Caricherò tutto pian piano!

Through the "Best and Worst" and "Everyone's a consultant" 'games' for ideation, our students and staff at MLC have come up with some ideas that through inference could lead to super innovations in teaching and learning

This seems to be the best placement of the nine patches although I might make a few more, we'll see I still have some strips left. Some how in person the two dark framed pieces don't jump out quite as much as they seem to in the picture. Think I'll also use a dark small inner border and then more of the glass beads in the outer border and green binding. Inspiration for the quilt was Loni Rossi's Gingko Fantasy hand out from Andover Fabrics.

593rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command Soldiers continued their quest to victory on day two of the unit's Best Warrior Competition at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Competitors completed Situational Training Exercise lanes which included react-to-fire drills, casualty assessment, and 9-line Medical Evacuation procedures.

Arnn Elementary hosted its very first talent show, “Arnn’s Got Talent,” on May 16 inside the school’s cafeteria. Students put on their best performances from dancing, singing, magic acts, a Taekwondo demonstration, an original rap performance, and lots more! (U.S. Army photos by Noriko Kudo)
