Die transN BDe 4/4 3 hat gerade Les Brenets verlassen und ist etwa 4 Kilometer unterwegs vor Le Locle erreicht wird wo die Schmalspurstrecke bereits endet.
Die Schmalspurbahn Le Locle - Les Brenets wird Ende 2023 eingestellt und auf einen elektrisch betriebenen Bus umgestellt, der 2025 in Betrieb genommen werden soll. Zwischen dem Bahnhof Le Locle und der Haltestelle Les Frêtes wird das bisherige Bahntrassee asphaltiert und als Eigentrassee für den Bus genutzt, der 700 m lange La Combe-Monterban-Tunnel entsprechend angepasst. Anschliessend fährt der Bus auf der Kantonsstrasse zum heutigen Endbahnhof Les Brenets und kann danach ins Dorf hinunter weitergeführt werden.
Chemin de Fer des Montagnes Neuchâtelois (CMN) electric railcar BDe 4/4 3 is seen arriving from Les Brenets at Le Locle on 29 June 1988. This was built by Officine Meccaniche Reggiane in 1950 and I believe it is still in service in 2022.

The 10-kilometer standard gauge branch line between Peggau and Übelbach is operated by the Steiermarkbahn (StB), and the two low-floor Stadler GTW railcars are mainly used for daily operations on the line. However, the company also has a third train for this railway line: the ET 15. It started its career on the Sihltalbahn in Switzerland as BDe 4/4 593 and it’s operating here since 1995. The little red railcar is still regularly seen on the line, although as far as I know it is only used as a reserve vehicle, so you have to be very lucky to see it in operation. When I was there, it made 5 rounds during the day, one of the GTWs stayed at the depot in Übelbach after it arrived from Graz in the morning.

A tegnapi nap az osztrák Übelbacherbahn vonalára látogattam. A Peggau és Übelbach közti, 10 kilométeres normál nyomtávú szárnyvonalat a Steiermarkbahn (StB) üzemelteti, és főként a két, alacsonypadlós Stadler GTW motorkocsi látja el a napi feladatokat a vonalon. A társaságnak azonban van egy harmadik szerelvénye is erre a vasútvonalra: az ET 15-ös motorkocsi. Pályafutását a svájci Sihltalbahn-on kezdte BDe 4/4 593-asként, majd 1995-ben került erre a vasútvonalra. A kis piros motorkocsi a mai napig rendszeresen előfordul a vasútvonalon, bár tudomásom szerint tartalék járműként használják már csak, így nagy szerencse kell, hogy találkozzon vele az ember. Ottjártamkor napközben 5 kört tett meg az egyik GTW helyett, mely addig az übelbachi telephelyen állt félre, így sikerült pár képpel hazatérnem erről a különleges járműről.

Speaking of garages, for this photo I was stood right beside the 1930s Art Deco styled Barton garage, which is the first time I've seen it in person. Unfortunately, it was covered in scaffolding, so there wasn't much to see.
