Replacing an earlier digital photo with a better version 12-Oct-21 (DeNoise AI).
An aircraft with a bit of a history. It was delivered to the GPA Group Ltd (later to become part of GECAS) and leased to MAS Malaysia Airline System as 9M-MJI in Jun-90. It was wet-leased to Oman Air between Jul/Aug-94 and was returned to the lessor in Oct-94.
It was immediately leased to Futura International Airways (Spain) with the Spanish temporary registration EC-738. It was re-registered EC-FZT in Feb-95. The aircraft was sub-leased to AB Airlines (UK) as G-OABE in Jun-98 and returned to Futura as EC-GYK in Oct-98.
It returned to the lessor in Jan-00 and was leased to Virgin Express Ireland as EI-TVC in Feb-00 and was sub-leased to Virgin Express Airways (Belgium) in Mar-01. The aircraft was sub-leased to Axon Airlines (Greece) as SX-BLN the following day. It was returned to Virgin Express in Nov-01 and was re-registered OO-VEO in Jan-02.
The aircraft returned to the lessor at the end of Jan-04 and was leased to Axis Airways (France) as F-GLXQ the following month. Axis ceased operations in Oct-06 and the aircraft returned to the lessor. However, Axis Airways found new funding and the aircraft was leased again in Dec-06 and they were renamed New Axis Airways.
Unfortunately they ceased operations again in Dec-09 and the aircraft was returned to the lessor and stored at Chateauroux, France. It was re-registered N302MS in Jun-11 and remained at Chateauroux until it was ferried to Phuket, Thailand in Jan-12.
It was stored at Phuket until it was leased to City Airways (Thailand) as HS-GTA in Jul-12. It was returned to the lessor in Dec-13 and stored at Bangkok-DMK, Thailand. It was re-registered N302MS again in Mar-14 and remained at Bangkok-DMK until it was ferried to Roswell, NM, USA in Mar-15 and sold to AerSale Inc.
The aircraft was re-registered N668XA and leased to Xtra Airways in Jun-15. It was wet-leased to Cayman Airways between Oct-19/Jan-20 and returned to AerSale Inc in Feb-20 when it was again stored at Roswell, NM, USA. It was ferried to Montreal-Mirabel in Apr-20 and sold to Nolinor Aviation, Canada.
The aircraft remained stored until it was re-registered C-GGWV in Sep-20. Later in Sep-20 it was leased to Nolinor holiday charter subsidiary OWG Airlines ('Off We Go'). Now 31 years old, it continues in service. Updated 12-Oct-21.
