Even the golden leaves of this lovely tree captured at Lanercost Priory in Northumberland, UK several years ago cannot lighten the sadness that I feel today at the news that my favorite nephew has cancer.

Ein aller letztes Aufbäumen des Herbst in den Weinbergen. Die Rebzeilen haben ihre Blätter schon verloren.
Sie ist eine Trinkwassertalsperre und versorge die Stadt Plauen seit über 100 Jahren mit Trinkwasser. Erbaut wurde sie von 1903 bis 1909 und 1910 in Betrieb genommen. die Geigenbachtalsperre ist die zweitälteste Talsperre in Sachsen.
It is a drinking water reservoir and has been supplying the city of Plauen with drinking water for over 100 years. It was built from 1903 to 1909 and put into operation in 1910. the Geigenbach dam is the second oldest dam in Saxony.
The mood outside is mostly grey these days, but for nature it is so good to have clouds and rain after two very dry and hot summers.

A leaf (PL: leaves) is any of the principal appendages of a vascular plant stem, usually borne laterally aboveground and specialized for photosynthesis. Leaves are collectively called foliage, as in "autumn foliage", while the leaves, stem, flower, and fruit collectively form the shoot system.
Leaves can have many different shapes, sizes, and textures. The broad, flat leaves with complex venation of flowering plants are known as megaphylls and the species that bear them, the majority, as broad-leaved or megaphyllous plants, which also includes acrogymnosperms and ferns.

This morning at the Eltz castle. Today I had the castle for a very long time alone, so I could experiment a bit with long exposure.
Heute Morgen an der Burg Eltz. Heute hatte ich die Burg sehr lange für mich allein, so dass ich ein wenig mit Langzeitbelichtung experimentieren konnte.
