Now wearing an insipid MINKS piece, one of the most uninspired and tiresome Sacto taggers.
I think this would make an amazing spot for a bar/club with music venue with upstairs overnight crash space for touring bands. But I can only imagine it's a major fixer if it were offered for sale. It appears that someone broke through the 2nd floor window after the ground floor was better secured.

Bet he can spin the back tires. Yup, that's a Hemi. I'm sure the name on the door came from tearing the gears out on acceleration.
Gotelli's Speed Shop, 321 El Camino Real, South San Francisco, Calif.
Although I don't own a vintage hot rod or drag racer, I love coming to this place, if only to stock up on a few more Mr. Horsepower decals. Gotelli's is one of those classic California institutions that's so well preserved that I worry one day I'll stop by to visit and it'll simply be gone.

According to the NHRA's September 2000 obituary of Ted Gotelli:
"Known as "Terrible Ted," Gotelli was an often-outspoken, no-nonsense racer and one of the sport's best mechanics. Gotelli, who founded the still-standing Gotelli Speed Shop in 1961 in South San Francisco, began his racing career behind the wheel, in 1955, with a '29 Ford A/Modified Roadster that he drove to track records at numerous Northern California tracks, but was better known as a team owner and tuner. He gave many drivers the opportunity to showcase their skills in his Gotelli Speed Shop entries, including Jim McClennan, Bud Barnett, Glen Leasler, Jerry Card, Denny Milani, Roy Thode, Kenny Safford, and Norm Wilcox.
