April is Autism Acceptance Month! We enjoyed a walk in Brady's Run Park in Beaver County, Pa, to show support for Autism Awareness.
Together, we can promote inclusion, understanding and acceptance, while we celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of those with autism in our community!
It was "Wear Red Instead" to support autism acceptance, advocacy, and to celebrate and embrace our differences with love and respect! Red represents our passion and commitment to viewing autism through a lens of strength, promoting a fresh, empowering perspective on autism acceptance. The infinity symbol represents the vibrant and diverse experiences and infinite possibilities within the autism spectrum! Let’s walk forward together from simply raising awareness, to promoting acceptance and understanding of autism.
Our DJ was provided by Band Together Pittsburgh—“Creating Music With People On The Autism Spectrum.” Band Together Pittsburgh believes that music has the power to unify the world. We envision using music to inspire and enrich the lives of those on the autism spectrum, enabling integration with family, friends, and society as a whole.

CARING: Kim Szabo and her son Justin, 4, have a bite to eat with about 150 others who share experiences caring for those with an autism spectrum disorder. Justin was diagnosed with an ASD last year and is beginning his second year of educational programs at the Rich Center for Autism on the campus of Youngstown State University.
