1993 stellte Audi auf der Internationalen Automobilausstellung IAA in Frankfurt am Main den Audi Space Frame vor, die erste Vollaluminium-Karosserie der Welt. Mit nur 180 Kilogramm Gewicht und ihrer polierten Oberfläche hängt sie mit weit geöffneten Türen von der Decke des Schürerstands. Sicher trägt auch diese sakral anmutende Installation dazu bei, dass das ehemalige Kesselhaus von Zollverein noch heute ehrfürchtig als „Kathedrale der Industriekultur“ bezeichnet wird.
In 1993, Audi unveiled the Audi Space Frame, the world's first all-aluminum body, at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt am Main. Weighing just 180 kilograms and boasting a polished surface, it hangs from the ceiling of the stoker's stand with its doors wide open. This seemingly sacred installation certainly contributes to the fact that the former boiler house at Zollverein is still reverently referred to as the "Cathedral of Industrial Heritage."

Typisch für solche Umbauten sind eine Dachrandverglasung, elektrische Rollos für die Seitenscheiben und eine spezielle LED-Beleuchtung im Sargraum. Because of the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit I'm going to post some more photos of IAA 2009 in Frankfurt with focus on concept cars with Hybrid engines.
The Audi e-tron concept was shown at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show. It will have a lithium-ion battery pack and four electric motors, one at each wheel.
These give an output of around 300bhp, as well as an incredible 4,500Nm of torque, delivering instant acceleration with 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds. Top speed is likely to jump from the concept’s 124mph to a more supercar-like 140mph – all with no tailpipe emissions.

Der Audi e-tron ist ein zur IAA 2009 vorgestelltes, von Audi entwickeltes Elektroauto.
Der e-tron ist im Gegensatz zu den meisten aktuell geplanten Elektroautos ein Sportwagen. Sein Design ist an das des R8 angelegt, wirkt jedoch futuristischer.
Innerhalb von 4,8 s beschleunigt der e-tron von 0 auf 100 km/h, für den Zwischenspurt von 60 auf 120 km/h benötigt er 4,1 Sekunden. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit wurde von den Herstellern zur Schonung des Akkumulators auf 200 km/h begrenzt. Die maximale Reichweite beträgt 248 km.
Der Rahmen des 1600 kg schweren Autos besteht aus Aluminium, die Hülle aus kohlenstofffaserverstärkten Kunststoff (CFK).

The Audi A2 is a compact MPV-styled supermini car produced by the German manufacturer Audi from November 1999 (for the 2000 model year) to August 2005. It is a five-door hatchback with four or five seats. The A2 was notable for being constructed from aluminium, which made it lightweight and alongside its efficient engines made it highly fuel efficient.
Als RS5 Sportback wurde das Fahrzeug auf der New York International Auto Show 2018 vorgestellt, welcher zunächst nur in den USA und Kanada eingeführt wurde. In Europa kam er erst im Februar 2019 in den Handel.
