This mine is located below a mall area in Stockholm, and parts of it was recently opened to the public. My father and I went on a guided tour which was very interesting. Of course I had to photograph the place, and I was fortunate to be allowed to use a tripod.

Another one from the Sickla Mine, located in almost-central Stockholm. Look at all the holes in the wall. They've done so much drilling here, it looks like a Swiss cheese.

Part of the Sickla Mine; it was so dark that my camera had trouble focusing, but with 39 autofocus points that's rarely a problem.

Back in the day when colourful artworks were commonly used to advertise even the heaviest of industries and this artwork illustration, signed "Stanwood", gives an impression of heavy work in foundries were castings had to be cleaned when out of the mould. Not much in the way of protective equipment here!
