One of the most beautiful buildings in Bucharest and a very important cultural center the building is at the moment in renovation so only the central part with the main entrance can be admired.Hope the fact that you can see the parts they are working on in the back won't be to distracting.I do have some shots where only the main part can be seen but the atmosphere is lacking so i still prefer this one.
The Berkshire Athenaeum is a public library (1872) based on a previously private athenaeum, and now at 1 Wendell Avenue, Pittsfield, Massachusetts in the Berkshires, United States. Like many New England libraries, the Berkshire Athenaeum started as a private organization.
A private Public Library Association was founded in 1850. The name was later changed to the Berkshire Athenæum. Later still, Thomas F. Plunkett, Calvin Martin and Thomas Allen, were "instrumental in forming it into a free library." "In 1874, by means of a bequest from Phinehas Allen, and the gift of [the 1876] building from Thomas Allen, the Berkshire Athenaeum was placed upon a firm foundation." [1]
In 1903, the Berkshire Athenaeum assumed the responsibility for the newly created Berkshire Museum, and was both a public library and museum until the museum spun off in 1932. The Berkshire Athenaeum is now Pittsfield's public library 222
I love this sim. It is loaded with places to hang out. The first time I was here there was a DJ and a party on a veranda. SO much to explore that I plan on doing an Athenaeum series.

The City Archives and the Athenaeum Library have been information preserving and providing institutions for the city of Deventer for centuries. The documents in the city archives go back to the twelfth century. The library was founded in 1560, making it the oldest city library in the Netherlands.

The Athenæum, originally named Das Deutsche Haus (German:“The German House”), is the most ornate and best-preserved building affiliated with the German American community of Indianapolis. Once used as a German American Turnverein and clubhouse, it currently houses many groups, organizations, and businesses. The Athenæum is located across Massachusetts Avenue from the Old National Centre. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 21, 1973.
