Was very happy to attend events associated with the Presidential Inauguration of Santa J. Ono as the 15th President of the University of Michigan. Here are pictures of the Installation Ceremony held at Hill Auditorium. Among the speakers (besides President Ono) were:
Laurie K. McCauley (Provost), Victor J. Dzau (US National Academy of Medicine), Allen Liu (SACUA), Garlin Gilchrist II (Michigan Lieutenant Governor), Hanna Holborn Gray (University of Chicago), and others. These events took place on Tuesday March 7th in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Hanging out with the University of Chicago contingent.

Associated British Cinemas (“ABC”) Ltd had acquired the Palace as part of the deal when it purchased the much larger Savoy Cinema at St Helens in 1936.
A receipt dated 17 August 1955 from ABC's Architects Department, acknowledging the loan of the original “Palace Picture Drome” plans, would appear to confirm the installation about this time of a CinemaScope screen.
