Taken during the Upfest graffiti festival in Bedminster a few years ago. I hope that events like this will be able to happen again soon.
Our community has artists and this one is converting a concrete wall of tagging and graffiti into a mural of New Zealand bird life. Thanks if you had time for a flying visit!
Happy Bench Monday!
this is handheld since my tripod went to tripod heaven, but there was no way that I wasn't going to post this. Words or photo's (at least mine) can't show the absolute beauty of this place. Everywhere you look it's breathtaking.
Another night view of Melbourne ... it reminds me of those CAD rendered images you see in brochures for "not yet" constructed developments ... except this is the living, breathing real thing.
I'm going to be absent from Flickr for the rest of the week. I wish you all happy snapping and I'll catch up next week.
Grand Marais Harbor - Lake Superior
An early morning view out towards the point with low scattered clouds, some sunlight and a very calm lake. It's that time of the morning you can have the harbor area to yourself.
Well, except for people and their pet poodles! Otherwise, some quality time walking the harbor area and the point!

I met this young man (Lee) as I had lunch and a beer in the "Exeter Phoenix; a Multi-use arts venue with film and gig auditorium, gallery spaces, recording studio and a cafe-bar.
I hope he does well.
Who's the artist..
This Guy was painting a picture on the Ganges in India.
His subject was one of the Ghats where they burn body dozens of human bodys all day .. every day.
The air is filled with soot and smoke as these people go to a better world.

On Sept. 25th, we happened upon this artist hard at work, painting the Firehole Spring in Yellowstone National Park.
My curiosity & admiration got the best of me…..so I asked if I could photograph her while she worked……
Told her I wanted to capture the raw talent and passion that she exhibited and I promised to send an image to her for blessing and / or her use.
She politely accepted my offer, and then gave me her business card.
Upon returning home…….I researched her website and Bio….only to learn that she was a very accomplished and recognized artist.
Her humble and modest nature never let on to any of this…….so I feel truly honored to showcase and promote her talents, abilities, and dedication.
Her name is Rachel Pettit & her website can be found here: rachelpettit.com/
Before I posted this......I emailed her a copy.
Hope she's pleased with it....
Suggest paying her a visit to view her website gallery.
Perhaps soon you’ll find the finished product that she was working on here as we spoke.
You just never know who you might run into while on vacation……….especially in the National Parks.
Have a great Friday and weekend ahead……….
This is a tiny little canvas sitting on my windowsill on a miniature easel. It is actually what we gave all our guests for wedding favours last year. We commissioned a wonderful South African artist to paint us 80 of these, all individual and all one of a kind depicting either Scottish thistles or South African protea. It took her a year to do all of them, This was the one she did for me. They were awesome and are even more precious now as the artist has sadly passed away earlier this year. #macromondays #macromonday #windows #HMM

another shot from sunday on tv... this was inside the Toscany countryhouse
liked that shot very much allthough the photo was of very poor quality, so I had to work it and since it was still raining cats and dogs here...
tried to make something better out of my daffodils also, but not to my satisfaction yet I succeeded there
hope to be able to get out on thursday, shoot some more spring pictures... they did promise some sunshine and much less wind for then, but they said that earlier about wednesday and now saying it might even hail or snow... they keep on moving up that one good day...
