🇫🇷 Vue partielle détails
En 1867, on fait restaurer la voûte et on refait entièrement son décor. C'est l'entrepreneur bastiais Raphaël Nardini et le stucateur Paganoni qui s'en chargent. On peut toujours les contempler.
En 1870 la voûte a été redécorée par deux peintres florentins.
Le médaillon central de la voûte représentant le Baptême du Christ, est entouré de stucs dorés, de gypseries et de peintures largement éclairées par de hautes fenêtres

Nel 1870 la volta fu ridecorata da due pittori fiorentini.
Il medaglione centrale della volta raffigurante il Battesimo di Cristo, è circondato da stucchi dorati, ginestre e dipinti ampiamente illuminati da alte finestre

Il sito comprende due centrali singole, costruite in due fasi successive e formanti un singolo edificio. La Battersea Power Station “A” è stata costruita negli anni ’30 e la Battersea Power Station “B” negli anni ‘50. Le due stazioni sono state costruite su un disegno identico e possiedono la ben nota forma con 4 camini. La stazione è il più grande edificio in mattoni d'Europa e si distingue in suo stile Art Deco e per le finiture interne e l'arredamento. La stazione poteva fornire fino a un quinto del fabbisogno elettrico di Londra. La stazione ha cessato di produrre energia elettrica nel 1983, ma nel corso degli ultimi 50 anni è diventato uno dei più noti punti di riferimento di Londra. La stazione deve la sua celebrità a numerose apparizioni culturali, tra cui la copertina dell’album “Animal” Pink Floyd del 1977 nella quale la stazione è stata fotografata con un maiale gonfiabile rosa che fluttua tra i due camini anteriori.

🇫🇷 Le décor intérieur a été en grande partie refait au XIXe siècle. Il était autrefois de style baroque.
C'est en 1806 et 1807 que l'on décide de restaurer et d'enrichir le décor du choeur. C'est le peintre toscan Fausto Rossi puis Luidi Giordani qui sont chargés des travaux de peinture et de dorure des pilastres, de la grande corniche et de la voûte. Le peintre génois Giovan Battista Vicini est chargé des dorures. .

It was in 1806 and 1807 that the choir was restored and enriched. The Tuscan painter Fausto Rossi and then Luidi Giordani are responsible for painting and gilding pilasters, the large cornice and the vault. Genoese painter Giovan Battista Vicini is in charge of gilding. .

🇩🇪 Die Inneneinrichtung wurde im 19. Jahrhundert weitgehend erneuert. Es war früher im Barockstil.
In den Jahren 1806 und 1807 beschloss man, das Chorbild zu restaurieren und zu bereichern. Der toskanische Maler Fausto Rossi und später Luidi Giordani waren für die Malerei und Vergoldung der Pilaster, des großen Gesimses und des Gewölbes verantwortlich. Für die Vergoldung ist der genuesische Maler Giovan Battista Vicini zuständig.

Here in Spoleto, (central Italy), where I am lucky enough to live, there is this historic home furnishings company, specialized in textiles.
Every now and then I go to see their new handcrafted creations.
This time I immersed myself in a delicate underwater world.
Qui a Spoleto, dove ho la fortuna di abitare, c'è questa storica azienda di arredamento per la casa, specializzata nel tessile.
Ogni tanto vado a vedere le loro nuove creazioni artigianali.
Stavolta mi sono immersa in un delicato mondo subacqueo.

La notte di Guy Fowkes è una commemorazione annuale osservata il 5 novembre, principalmente in Gran Bretagna. Guy Fawkes Night is an annual commemoration observed on 5 November, primarily in Great Britain. Its history begins with the events of 5 November 1605, when Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder Plot, was arrested while guarding explosives the plotters had placed beneath the House of Lords. On 31 January 1606, Fawkes was hanged, and then his lifeless body was quartered and, as was the custom, his body parts were then distributed to "the four corners of the kingdom", to be displayed as a warning to other would-be traitors. Celebrating the fact that King James I had survived the attempt on his life, people lit bonfires around London. The now emblematic Guy Fawkes mask, made famous by the film V for Vendetta, has surprisingly become a worldwide bestseller as a revolutionary symbol for the younger generation.

It was launched into an elliptical low Earth orbit by the Soviet Union on 4 October 1957.
It's nowadays a symbol of the "Space Age" Era. In the late Fifties and for all the Sixties, it's shape and patterns
have inspired the project and production of several items, lamps and objects of Interior Design.

The Venice Biennale was born by a resolution by the City Council on 19th April 1893, which proposed the founding of a “biennial national artistic exhibition” to take place in the following year, to celebrate the silver anniversary of King Umberto and Margherita of Savoy.
The event in fact took place two years later, opening on 30th April 1895.

Ci si trova nel cuore di Saint Germain des Prés, quartiere dell'editoria, delle gallerie d’arte, dell’arredamento e della moda. E’ uno di cuori intellettuali di Parigi. E’ qui che Parigi vibrava al suono del jazz negli anni ‘50, qui che artisti, musicisti, scrittori, si incontravano e ancora si incontrano.
Strette e pittoresche le vie traboccano di negozi affascinanti: moda, arredamento, librerie, ... Tutta l’eleganza francese si è data appuntamento in questo affascinante quartiere di Parigi.

E di ritorno dalla giornata al mare..... sosta in una carinissima pasticceria a mangiare un cupcake! Tutto molto anni '50, gelati e dolcetti favolosi, arredamento vintage perfetto. E una colonna sonora che adoro....
And coming back from the day at the beach ..... we stopped in a cute ice-cream shop to eat a cupcake! All very 50s, fabulous ice cream and sweets, perfect vintage decor . And a soundtrack that I love ....
