from a bird feeder in my backyard, hanging right beside the screened in porch. I think he could hear the television in the den, as the sliding glass door was open. I took the opportunity to grab my camera and catch this nosy creature :)

A very traditional pub on the eve of the smoking ban in Britain. Now pubs are closing weekly and the character of establishments like this is being replaced with the bland homogeneity of chain pubs which seduce punters with cheap booze

Sunday we went to the zoo..the wife and three of our boys. It's not often we all go together somewhere, usually five different directions. But Sunday we spent all day together and it was pretty nice. Of course with my boys there's plenty of laughing...like when one of them noticed that the baboon exhibit was temporarily closed and someone else remark that it was weird cause the zoo restaurant had temporarily taken hamburger off their menu at the same time. It's to be expected when you have boys.

Are you looking at me? One day I was standing at my garage talking with my neighbor and we both saw this awesome guy watching us. We were too close to the feeder for him to come down and eat. I love the way he has his head cocked to really see what is going on. I am trying to catch up with visiting today as I wait again for a repairman to check out the washing machine. It's leaking and the last guy that came out said he put some sealant on it but.....anyway...have a SUPER DUPER Thursday. :)

that's what the goldfinches were having amongst the cup plants, now see they think I never feed them but who do you think helped plant those now seven foot tall plants?

A Cuvier's Gazelle sits for a portrait.

Naturally camouflaged as a grazing ruminant, Artiodactyla Crusvidae - or vampire deer - wanders amongst the savanna herbivores awaiting predatory attacks.

Often feigning weakness to draw in a predator, Crusvidae uses a reserve of speed and agility to seize the attacker by the throat.

Larger vampire deer have been known to take down 200kg lions with full protective manes. However, the diminishing big cat numbers have caused their population to collapse. Only a few pockets of vampire deer remain in Africa, plus a growing herd now thriving in the NY sewer system.
