The Bay of Kotor (Montenegrin: Boka Kotorska) , known simply as Boka ("the Bay"), is a winding bay of the Adriatic Sea in southwestern Montenegro.
It was added to the Unesco world heritage list in 1979.

There is lots of talk about the pros and cons of aquaculture. it's like everything man creates to feed the growing numbers: a necessity but not necessarily pretty, especially not in such outstandingly beautiful natural environment.

台南濱海區盛行水產養殖，主要有虱目魚，和臺灣鯛、文蛤、牡蠣、白蝦、石斑魚。漁民捕撈虱目魚的景象非常壯觀。在陽光下，跳躍的銀色虱目魚閃耀明亮。
Cinq compagnies disposent aujourd’hui de licences pour le saumon, à hauteur de 25 000 tonnes, dans deux grandes zones de fjords, l’une au nord-ouest, l’autre à l’est du pays. Là, où l’absence de rivières à saumons sauvages évite les échanges avec les élevages. L’Islande est très stricte sur la préservation de sa ressource en saumons sauvages .
Leader mondial en élevage d'omble chevalier, l'Islande produit de plus en plus de saumons en mer mais à petite échelle, comparé à la Norvège. Grâce à la géothermie, les fermes à terre optimisent la production de salmonidés, de soles et de lompes.

As China slowly reopens to the world from the pandemic I'm revisiting one of my personal favorites from an amazing trip in the fall of 2017. This was shot in Xiapu, a coastal city on the northeast coast of Fujian province, located just a few hours north of my ancestral hometown in the same province. It is a place much loved by Chinese photographers, but relatively obscure outside of China. The people here engage in aquaculture, especially seaweed farming. They plant these bamboo poles in the mudflats to anchor the seaweed and during high tide navigate their boats through and around them to go out to sea. There are acres and acres of these bamboo poles as far as the eye can see, forming an endless variety of geometry and symmetry.

I love taking photos, why hide it, but this is not the only reason why I adore photography as an outdoor activity ... I also love processing photos while I'm at home ... I know my way around HDR tools (I must have used most of them) ... I know them well enough to claim with certainty that those tools, no matter how effective, are not a panacea for exceptionally presented colored photos ... Modern photo processing Software (Gimp, Corel Photo paint, Elements, Photoshop) and their accompanying plugins incorporate excellent tools as well, in order to help someone retouch spot by spot over a photograph's content, selectively highlight its different parts and create an alternative outcome, sometimes even more believable than the one coming out of any HDR tool ...

It presents an Eastern Kavala aquaculture facility, located at a natural and of a rather considerable size lagoon formed exactly two kilometers away from Strymonas river outfall ... Sometimes photography is about pleasing symmetry, repeating patterns, and leading lines. But at other times, we find asymmetry, disruption, and the unexpected to be visually stimulating. Here a man is maintaining a section of the bamboo poles while standing on a ladder on his boat and floating in a sea of bamboo poles. The people of Xiapu, in China's Fujian Province, engage in aquaculture and use these poles to anchor seaweed.
Aquaculture ponds occupy land once covered by gallery forests in the headwaters of the Xingu River in Querência, Mato Grosso.

This fish farm barge is being fitted out at Buckie. Probably for treating salmon of sea lice, which is a big concern of fish farmed in sea cages on the west coast.

A four-day driving tour of the Faroe Islands. We didn’t visit all the islands given the limited time. Many of the small roads are one lane including some of the tunnels. The Faroe Islands has a large amount of aquaculture that some tourist may not like.
In addition to the impressive mounds, Poverty Point has low concentric ridges in a n amphitheater shape. (It's too big for an actual amphitheater, but that's the best way to describe the *shape*.)
From the top of Mound A, you can see hints of these ridges, including one in front of this stand of trees. The pond is a borrow pit, a source of dirt for mound building. It also seems to have been used for aquaculture, with people raising fish and amphibians there for harvest.
