Each part was separately drawn in ProCreate except for the feather photos. All was combined in iColorama because of its superb ability for blending. I then used various blend modes to add colored backgrounds that the drawings & neutral elements took on to add color. Parts of my watercolor textures were added along with different iColorama brush stampings, some from my added .abr files.

As progress continues at the main 16 acre World Trade Center site, much is now fully operational including One World Trade Center, One World Trade Center Observatory, 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Seven World Trade Center, 4 World Trade Center and the newest beautiful open space in New York, the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, the magnificent Oculus and that is where this image was taken, within the Oculus which opened earlier this year. This is the inaugural Christmas Holiday for the Transportation Hub, and a fabulous holiday light display within the open space of oculus was launched on December 1, 2016 sponsored by Westfield and Apple Music. Launching or kicking off the lights, literally pressing the switch on stage after they gave a wonderful brief concert are multiple Grammy Award winning a cappella group Pentatonix [ ptxvillage.ptxofficial.com/ ], which are clearly visible in this image taken just before the lights went on along with hosts MSNBC News Anchors Tamron Hall and Thomas Roberts between Kirstin and Scott.

Avi Kaplan, Kirstin Maldonado, Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi and Kevin Olusola the five members from Arlington Texas who won the third season of NBC’s The Sing-Off were fantastic and fabulous particularly Avi with that marvelous deep bass voice, wow. I’ve got a real soft spot for a cappella groups, I sang in multiple a cappella quartets in church from my youth until my oldest daughter got to an age where, she needed daddy around more, then when my son arrived, well then parenting became the priority; my singing days were over.

The beautiful open space of the oculus is something to behold, worth the trip if visiting the city, in addition to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum and the One World Trade Center Observatory which are all within the ‘tub’ of the former World Trade Center. Being the first Christmas, it wasn’t the mad house that associated with events like the Rockefeller Christmas Tree lighting. Obviously I don’t mind crowds or I’d never venture into my beloved Manhattan, but the tree lighting at 30 Rock, like the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade (I’ve done one of those) or New Years in Times Square are a bit too crowded for me to be honest and not conducive to photography at all. One thing to note, that’s become commonplace at concerts are the mobile phones taking both photos or video/audio recording, unless you’re way up high, no way to avoid those these day.

Taken with a Nikon 1 J1 Mirrorless with a Nikon 1Nikkor 10-30mm F3.5-5.6 VR lens processed in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.

Lufthansa & apples havent been the sweetest of things lately.

Neither the one you can eat, nor the one you tag on your baggage have received good press on social media.

The real one, as part of the "tasting heimat " revamp has been much derided by frequent flies who have described the handing out of these apples after the main meal as a hygene issue. Then there's the Apple airtags, booming in sales recently with all the lost & delayed hold baggage, Lufthansa banning them from their flights because of bluetooth signals affecting aircraft communications.

Nevertheless, this one is....ready to eat.
