With apologies to the Carlsberg! [advert] Sorry your Honour! I was...... er... drunk when I wrote it, on ...... er...... Carsberg of course! Hic!

..........................................................................................................................

This litlle "building" was once a Petrol station that closed down in the 80s.

Its situated at the foot of the Great Sugarloaf mountain on the Roundwood road, at Kilmacanogue Co. Wicklow. It seems to now be used as a lorry parking spot by a local Haulier. What a place and the view is amazing! I wouldnt mind moving in there, though in Winter, the wind would cut you in two as it sweeps in from the West.

I took the photo early in the morning not long after sunrise and it was a beautiful day.

Its raining here this morning so Im stuck inside. Love to see some cheery photos from all, of you to lift the gloom!

Do have a great day and if you like give us a Fave!

Thanks my Flickr Friends!!!

Pat.

My photos are also on Flickr River as per link below;

Apologies to the squeamish!....this is a suture (joint) from a sheeps cranium (skull) seen on Sittaford Tor, Dartmoor. The iPhone was handheld, Olloclip macro @ 21x, Shoulderpod S1, Hisy remote, reverently tickled in Snapseed on iPhone. Title =Pink Floyd

Apologies if you spend the rest of the day humming a certain tune from Phantom of the Opera but I thought it was a fitting caption.

So sad that many of these beautiful birds and vast swathes of our precious moorland must now endure four months of being peppered with lead shot.

Taken in the Peak District on a grey, drizzly day a few months ago.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and for leaving any comments or faves, they are very much appreciated.

Apologies IGers I don't normally cross post but I like this shot :-)

Apologies for yet another rainbow but I like them, this is the Seven Sisters on the Sussex coast you know that feeling when you sense that something good is going to happen with, well this was mine! had to work a little on the sky to bring the contrasts out! taken two years ago!

Apologies to anyone who faved or commented on the shot I put up earlier. It wasn't the one I intended to post, I preferred this one!

Apologies to everyone who commented on my last image of the Gannets, somehow I posted it twice, then deleted the one with all your comments!

Unfortunately I never got to read them☹️ Thank you all 👍

Apologies for the Robin spam! I'm currently doing a bit of a cull of my images as I had a ridiculous number and it seems I have quite a few pics of robins!!!!

Many thanks for all the kind comments and faves and I apologise for being behind with my commenting. Looking forward to catching up this evening ;)

Apologies, my knowledge on birds is limited, any offers on a name will be appreciated. The display was in London zoo but I wasn't listening to the guide, busy with settings.

For the moment, unless otherwise corrected, I believe it's a Spectacled Owl. The white markings around the eyes give it a spectacle-like look, which is how it earned it's name. It's mainly found in tropical American forests in Central America, South America and Southern Mexico.

Apologies for lack of activity moved home and just got back onto my pc and internet will catch up soon.

Apologies for being AWOL! Hope everyone is well.

Many thanks for all the kind comments and faves on my images. They are, as always, very much appreciated!

Apologies for being awol but I look forward to catching up with all your latest pics :)

Have a good weekend everyone.

Apologies for posting some shots from a while back but the lack of both numbers & species at my local patch is quite disturbing

Thank you for supporting me. if I love photography it is also your merit.

Apologies to Rod for pinching his album name but I'm sure you can see why I thought the title suited this image where every reflection seems to show us a different story.

Shot on Waterloo Road in London, right next door to the Hayward Gallery.

Apologies for all the bluebell shots, I'm a bit obsessed!

Thanks for all the very kind comments and faves; they're very much appreciated.

Apologies...I don't have the LM or remember where the shot was taken.

Apologies everyone, I have been quite absent from Flickr (my focus at the moment has been connecting pollinators up to plants on iNaturalist, although we have had a lot of other things going on at the moment also).

I love flannel flowers, and this is the first time I have seen the seeds exposed. So pretty.

Apologies for the name of this one!

Sakurajima (Japanese: 桜島, literally "Cherry blossom Island") is an active stratovolcano, formerly an island and now a peninsula, in Kagoshima Prefecture in Kyushu, Japan. The lava flows of the 1914 eruption connected it with the Ōsumi Peninsula. It is the most active volcano in Japan. - Wikipedia

Apologies for my absence of late , life gets in the way at times !

Apologies to Steinbeck!

Apologies for not being present - hope to catch up soon. I've been working a lot of overtime, not allowing for enjoyable hobbies. I'm hoping we're getting close to the end of the project, and I can get more active again. Thank you all for the support in my absence!

"Nature’s first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf’s a flower;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay."

-Jack Frost

HSS, all!

Apologies for my slight obsession with photographing this weed

Apologies if you had commented or even faved this earlier! Have no clue how it got lost.

The Macro Monday theme for 7/24 is buckle. (The admin said we could use a toggle and I extrapolated that to include a clasp, also.) We have a dearth of typical belts, so I went hunting for stand-ins. There are a few possibilities so I’ll dither, naturally. There are 8 possibilities and they’re in the front of the photostream .

This, the worn toggle, and the watch may be my favorites. Am partial to others for various reasons and not necessarily for the MM theme. Will add the size verification shots to the first comment box of each picture in a bit!

Apologies for another shot of Bluebells but in the end I found the time last Sunday to visit North Cliff Woods that are managed by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. I spent a very pleasant hour wandering about enjoying millions of bluebells

THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WRITE A COMMENT IT’S MUCH APPRECIATED AND SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING THAN JUST GIVING A FAVE

* An apology I cannot tell you the name of this setting though its certainly in or close to the Lot Valley in Central France. Which village it actually is escapes however. If anyone recognises it let me know. I will put a geotag on the image of an approximate nature . I now know its Limogne-en-Quercy Thanks Judy

It's a common enough sight in France the street market winding through the village streets that will happen once or sometimes twice weekly. They are a vital part of rural french life and buying food in France is a serious business

It's hard to believe its over two years since I visited France. I miss that beautiful country so much. However good our holidays in England are it is not the same as being in another culture and country

An Update according to Judy its the village of Limogne-en-Quercy and having checked she is right Thanks Judy

THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT TO MY STREAM.

I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD NOT FAVE A PHOTO WITHOUT ALSO LEAVING A COMMENT .

Apologies very behind .

Thanks for all faves and comments .

Apologies for yet another image from that extraordinary morning at Derwent water last November... but I'd rather upload to my photostream than just leave them on the HD drive

This is a re-working of the image I posted yesterday - my apologies to those kind enough to view, comment on and fav the previous version

With apologies to Marlon Brando...

I really shot this in the London Underground station

Apologies for my lack of activity on Flickr - we were away for a few days and on returning, I found my grandson had unwittingly shared his daycare cooties, to which I am defenseless. In any case, a snowy Sunday afternoon and morale boosting hot toddy found me playing with pictures again. This one is from last September just outside Fundy National Park. I like the composition and have come back to it a few times but it's not a great image - there was no sky, it was getting late so the light was poor, and there was a breeze stirring the grasses. Sliders Sunday seemed a good excuse to push the limits and see what would happen - though I was probably encouraged a bit by the toddy. Thanks for your patience.

Apologies for the lack of replies, work is being a bugger and I don't know if it's night or day at the moment.

It was fairly windy initially but it suddenly dropped. I already had 8 mins set up so figured I'd do it anyway. Probably didn't need it in the end but I like how it turned out nonetheless despite the cloudless sky.

I'll catch up with replies soon. I hate going from nights to days and then back again in a short time frame.

Apologies for having to repost!

Apologies ..... I'm way behind and busy at the moment and not really able to get out to take any pics, hence the repetitive theme going on lately!!

Apologies for the early 80s British earworm but I had it in my head after taking this image for ages after :-) Taken in Hillock Wood, Buckinghamshire

(apologies to North Carolina) At least the first close flight capture I've had of a white pelican. At Fernhill wetlands. The morning light on the clouds was a bonus!

Apologies to all you togs out there, as you must be getting a little tired of this location.

The thing is, it's been the only venue I've been able to access and I do need to practice :)

I've called it lighting the sky, as that was what it did for a short period. I just love this time of day, especially when you get colour like this.

Apologies Old Image cropped of a sheep in the local field

Apologies if you faved my last shot but when i saw it on my ipad it looked too light and I'm too tired to mess with it now. This shot was the last one of a beautiful evening here so I am doing things back to front lol... starting from the end instead of the beginning. Never mind, I only had time to process a few as my PC was acting up which i could have done without today....

I hope to start catching up now I'm back - the WIFI in the rental cottage was hopeless so I couldn't upload the photos i took with me on a memory stick either :(

The Rumps is a twin-headland promontory at the north-east corner of Pentire Head in north Cornwall, United Kingdom. The promontory is formed from hard basaltic rock and projects north into the Atlantic Ocean. Its headlands lie east-to-west.

The sun actually set well to the left of this shot and this is the afterglow that took me by surprise and I had to whip out my camera again after packing everything up :)
