taken a number of years back with a P&S camera that looked much like a smart phone of today.
wish I would have had a more capable camera but I still like it.
That is Mt. Shasta in the far distance. ( lots of smoke in the air from forest fires burning.)

first try at a composite shot, combined an old landscape shot with a snowy owl shot that I cut out as best I could
taken a number of years ago, while approaching Mt Hood the high point in Oregon I saw this cloud formation, I'm not sure if it was a lenticular cloud starting to form ( that's what I thought it was ) but it looked pretty cool just the same.
this was taken before I had a DSLR I shot it with a Kodak V610 point and shoot so it is what it is.
on a sad note I came back 8 years later to climb Hood again and you could notice the glaciers shrinking : (
finally bloomed thought it never would!!
not much thought went into this shot, taken on my kitchen counter. I did use a tripod
