Every year, this time of year, I have the pleasure of seeing the Townsend's warblers. They're likely around other times, too, and I just don't know where to look for them. But in the Spring, I can watch this tree as it blossoms, and will eventually see one. One of our flashier warblers!
Every year the late summer monsoon season brings a large number of Lubbers to roadways, trails, yards, etc. They can often be found climbing just about every plant in an area. The Plains Lubber (Brachystola magna) is among the more colorful of the various species and tends to have a nice blue hue to the top of it. Here is a large individual seen along the Mexico-Arizona border recently!
This morning Lene and I took the cats for their annual check and vaccination at Taatrup Dyreklinik. Results of the blood tests are still pending, but otherwise all three seniors passed in great style...

So with the forecast of clear skies.... I mean really? I headed to Durdle this morning for the starburst window that is now well and truly underway.
That sliver of light, the tide on its way out meaning there was a pristine beach, it was just perfect!
There was only about half a dozen of us so not too much clash of the tripods!! The burst did get more intense but I think the earlier shots look a but more natural.
This time of year we enjoy winter as the white tail return to the peninsula.
To me, this doe is especially lovely as her eyes look like gem stones. There are 3 very healthy families that visit daily.

The annual Geminid meteor shower is one of the most famous meteor shower on our planet. Despite a bright quarter moon rising around midnight, the meteor shower peak was approached. The lovely shooting stars been with the Orion、Canopus and Sirius above the moonlight landscape of Mount balang, Sichuan, China.
Project SWORD was a TV21 feature built around a very fantastic range of toys as opposed to a TV programme. This Annual featured striking images of the vehicles.
Taken over two days at the impressive gathering of locomotives at Grosmont. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway hosted visiting steam engines. Two engines working together here with the 'Pocket Rocket' and LMS 'Black Five' 44806 at Grosmont.
