Our story begins in the Lone Star State. The hotel in this photo—the biggest in Texas, boasting 1,950 rooms—was where I worked as a valet driver, earning the money for tuition at Animation Mentor, the online animation school. How fitting that after graduating I should find my first paid gig in the shadow of the Sheraton! (And lucky that I could get hired in my hometown first before setting off on my tour of North America.)

ANIMATION!

PITCHING SESSIONS.

this is my final animation. i came up with this idea when i was looking at flowers in the summer. what went well in my project was that i sucessed in my animation. i found it hard but i ask for help and i finally finsihed it. even better if i added more complex objects into the animations. i have learnt that animation are very hard to create even for a short amount of time.

In this short video, I made this by finishing my first drawing, then i take a photo of it. Then i rub out the drawing and start a second one on the same paper. This process is done seven times. This is inspired by William Kentridge's animations.

The power of animation is, well, no real need to explain this one.

For a method so complex and intricate, visuals are needed that draw an audience in, are colourful and can explain what is going on in an animated fashion - any good science program used this as a key tool to describe and define complex topics, and for us, as Feldenkrais teachers, we need to take advantage of such a powerful and versatile tool.

The main display at the Suginami animation museum follows the history of Japanese animation from 1917 to the 21st century. Text, unfortunately, is mainly in Japanese.
