Tapir is a large, herbivorous mammal, similar in shape to a pig, with a short, prehensile nose trunk. Tapirs inhabit jungle and forest regions of South America, Central America, and Southeast Asia.
Springbok (Antidorcas marsupialis) is a medium-sized antelope found mainly in southern and southwestern Africa. The International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources classifies the springbok as a least concern species. No major threats to the long-term survival of the species are known; the springbok, in fact, is one of the few antelope species considered to have an expanding population. The springbok is the national animal of South Africa.
The Grévy's zebra (Equus grevyi), also known as the imperial zebra, is the largest living wild equid and the largest and most threatened of the three species of zebra.
The Grévy's zebra lives in semi-arid grasslands where it feeds on grasses, legumes, and browse; it can survive up to five days without water. It differs from the other zebra species in that it does not live in harems and has few long-lasting social bonds. Male territoriality and mother–foal relationships form the basis of the social system of the Grévy's zebra. This zebra is considered to be endangered.

Sometimes you Feel Like A Nut Skippy loves peanuts and shows up every day to get some, he did not move when I stuck my camera out the door and took his picture, shot in North Carolina.
Not the ideal light, but this is such a cute bird and great model, I had to share with you :)))

I apologize for not being able to catch up with all of you at the moment, but I've been really busy these last days, and feeling a bit tired too. I hope to be back to normal soon!
I went back to see the Kingfisher this morning, the one I saw yesterday, she was as friendly today as she was than. She sat and preened very near me for quite sometime, didn’t care at all that I was there. Also found they are nesting, digging near by.
Was at a loss as to what to do for yesterdays shot, enter Max!!!

My model of today.... small lizard in my garden looking at me and was photographed easily!
Normally the colour of deep caramel, Highland Cattle can come in black as well as this paler shade, which I will call blonde and I think it suits her
I was sitting on the ground of the parking lot watching the Mountain Bluebird pair gathering food for their babies. They spent more time on the ground so I sat down and watched waiting to get a shot. About a minute later, I looked up and this Rock Wren was right in front of me.
I knew Rock Wrens had been seen up there but I was not expecting to look up and see it staring at me. Surprised and delighted me! No calls played.
This little red squirrel has decided to set up house in our home! At first he was putting walnuts in this SUV in our front yard which he fill to the brim! There was at least 200 nuts in this vehicle! Then it started putting nuts on our roof. It sounded like he was bowling.
We found out she had 2 babies because my husband heard this racket in our ease-through. It sounded like something was trapped. He cut through our soffit and this big nest fell out, along with a baby! The next day another one came out fro our attic. They both made it! And are running around and happy.
Sun turned the spot light on this branch. I just liked how it looked.
Took 10mins. to download this shot. No clue what is going on but SOOOO SLOWWWWW to do anything.
