There were Fritillaries there, but not many, and they were all in the middle of the meadow - well past the 'KEEP OFF THE MEADOW!' signs, so I couldn't get too close!

The greater white-fronted goose is a species of goose related to the smaller lesser white-fronted goose. It is named for the patch of white feathers bordering the base of its bill,
I saw this beautiful young swan in the water, very calm, serene and elegant. Such contrast between the swan and its dirty surrounding makes me think of Cinderella.

This is one busy bird that never seems to slow down. Luckily, this little guy landed and stayed put for awhile in order for us to get the photo. The barn swallow is the most widespread species of swallow in the world. It is a distinctive passerine bird with blue upperparts, buff colored under parts, a long, deeply forked tail and curved, pointed wings. It is found in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas
