A striking green iguana captured in a moment of calm, resting on a branch under soft, directional light.

Photographed at the ZooParc de Beauval (France), this image highlights the reptile’s vivid green tones and textured scales with precision and depth.

Shot with a telephoto lens to enhance background separation and draw full attention to the subject.

Everything aligned for this portrait – light, texture, detail, and composition.

Any feedback or constructive criticism is very welcome – I’d love to improve and grow.

An otter ready to grab his lunch. Taken, once again, at the Tamar Otter and Wildlife Centre in Cornwall. This little fellow was just getting fed his lunch from the keeper who was telling the assembled crowd all about this type of otter. Needless to say, I cant remember what type he was...

Anyway, he held this pose for about 10 seconds, which gave me plenty of time to get the composition right (IMHO) and dial in some exposure compensation (damn that bright sunlight on a summers day!)

Living off the edge...

Look at the claws! No wonder they are excellent swimmers.

I think that the number ended up being something like lots.

Note that both a trunk, and giant ear are present.

I like this picture because I'm standing there behind a big tripod, and nobody's paying attention to the camera at all.

Are they chickens, or hip hop dancers?

Using its sharp, pointed bill to flip aside shells, this Ruddy Turnstone pauses and poses for me. Atlantic coastline, New Jersey.

Since I was shooting off of a tripod, most of my pictures from this stop have a focused background, and blurry subject. This was a neat bit of luck.

ACslater149 stamps manifests after the racers have completed their task.

The neat thing about taking a bunch of picture while other people are is that their flash sometimes lights your image, making it look like you have fancy off camera strobe equipment.
