My hunch paid off as this structure was completely torn down. I've been photographing the back of the building, as the front faces a police station, and not many people understand why I photograph construction. Several times I've been asked if I was an insurance surveyor. That one makes sense, as many times I'm dressed from work. No, just a hobbyist photographer. Essentially it's my documenting the pre/post gentrification of my neighborhood

St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Dutch Kills, NYC
You don't realize how hilly Queens actually is until you either walk it or ride a bike around it
---
The parish of St. Patrick at Dutch Kills was founded in 1868, by the Rev. Theodore Goetz, pastor of St. Raphael's Church, Laurel Hill, near Blissville, as a mission of Laurel Hill. The original church, a frame building 25 feet by 60 feet, was located at the corner of Henry and Williams Streets. In 1870, this church was moved to Crescent Street (now 29th Street), between Wilbur and Paynter Avenues, and the building was enlarged with an addition that made the church cruciform in shape. Bishop Loughlin dedicated the church. The church was partly destroyed by fire in the fall of 1887.

I brought the One Plus 7T Pro about four years ago, and it's become my favourite device. I've been tempted my the latest iPhones and the Google Pixel, but there's something so special about this device.
What phone are you using at the moment, and what's the story behind it? ️
Not something one would typically see whilst looking through one of these green construction wall viewing panels. Those are water reeds, which generally grow in marshes. Many of these empty lots become quite lush with a variety of plant life, which I find so interesting.

My neighborhood desperately needs additional supermarkets and for the past several years now there's been a huge influx of Asian citizens moving into the area. Whoever's responsible for constructing this Asian-centric supermarket is going to make a fortune

The development is expected to be eight stories tall and go up on 38th Avenue between 30th Street and Old Ridge Road. The top six floors would be for apartments, while the bottom two floors–totaling 12,000 square feet– to be set aside for an Asian supermarket.

The Dollar Tree store located at 38th Street & Queens Blvd in Sunnyside, Queens is permanently closed. Mark my words, I guarantee you this entire corner building will be torn down with an apartment building put in its place. Queens Blvd, from 33rd Street east to 50th Street is on the brink of major construction, which will transform that entire strip.
