In New York City, plant life takes root wherever there's a smidgen of earth, access to water, ample sunlight and nutrients. Rainwater no doubt trickles down that wall, and as for nutrients it could literally be anything, from dog poop, to bird droppings, and that little piece of dirt is fertilized. An entire microcosm exists within the crack of a sidewalk

All of these establishments have, just recently, gone out of business (?). The job site (middle block) is another example of a stop work order. This entire block will no doubt be blown out to make way for yet another apartment building

This plot was to have been a 17 story hotel, though as with many sites there was either a stop work order, or the deal fell through completely.

I feel how this section of Long Island City is on the brink of blasting off on the super sonic gentrification rocket, as the LIC BID expanded into this area, and the building pace will increase significantly in 2026.

Asking price: $1,750,000

38-18 31st Street was built in 1920 and has 2 stories and 2 units.

This is a dual album as these two major construction projects are situated just across 24th street @ Queens Plaza South from one another

I rarely take the train as I walk everywhere, though this afternoon following work I walked to Sunnyside to go shopping and rode the train back to Astoria, and while waiting on my connecting train at Queens Boro Plaza, I was amazed by how much taller this building was. And I began to wonder as to when it was I'd last ridden the train? Hmm. Aaah, yes. It was on Tuesday, April 1st.

Transit Mix Concrete

It is also called dry batched concrete because all the basic ingredients including water are charged directly into the truck mixer. The mixer drum is revolved fast at charging speed during the loading of the material and after that it continues rotating at a normal agitating speed
