My hair has started coming back. It's a good feeling. My feet, however, are still afflicted with neuropathy, and they, as well as my ankles, are still swollen. Though the numbness of my feet has moved up into my toes. It's still weird, though I'll take it. And my fingernails have also begun to regrow. They never fell out, though they became brittle and would just break off. And the part near the cuticle became bumpy. Such strange shit. The medical team never mentioned this, and so many other things. It's not surprising. I learned a lot through my own research, and conferring with my principal Health Care Proxy, now retired, though up until mid year 2024 had been a professional registered nurse at various NYC hospitals for 42 years.
My leg muscles are so stiff, and each day, I've been performing stretching exercises. I'm scheduled to return to my office in early January 2026, and I need to be able to walk. I just need to remain focused. This evening, I submitted an application with Access-A-Ride, an MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) service, which provides free shuttle van service. If I am not healed enough by the end of December, I will need to do this. It's a failsafe, in the event.

Thought perhaps new owners, yet that green chair is a telltale sign of the elder gentleman who sits atop that landing above those steps each afternoon, beginning mid-late April until late October, every single year.

The Greenstreets program converts paved, vacant traffic islands, and medians into green spaces filled with trees, shrubs, and groundcover in an effort to capture stormwater.
The program is a part of the NYC Green Infrastructure Plan. All funding for Greenstreet construction under this plan is administered by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

I wish I could lug this huge shredded tire home to my apartment and hang it up on the wall, as I just love looking at it. This thing has been living up on the Honeywell Street bridge for several months now.

This morning whilst walking to work I happened upon these two sitting along the walkway of the Honeywell Street bridge in Long Island City, Queens, NYC. Every single day there's something new and out of place up on that bridge, that I'm renaming it The Twilight Zone bridge aka TTZB

Today I was the epitome of laziness and instead of walking 24-minutes to my office, I opted to take the train roundtrip. Sometimes it's good to see what's going on above ground

Honeywell Street/Avenue consists entirely of a bridge (Honeywell Street bridge) which spans across the Sunnyside Train Yard. The bridge begins at Northern Blvd and ends at Stillwell Avenue. 1 Honeywell is the only property with an address on this street. The bridge was originally built in 1910 when the rail yard was built, but was closed due to structural deterioration during most of the 1980s and 1990s. The old bridge was demolished and rebuilt in 2002.

Twice per weekday I walk past this small outcrop of earth situated along Skillman Avenue and the Sunnyside Train Yard and it's just a little something that gives me so much pleasure, as each of the seasons are contained within this one small triangular island that's sandwiched between the intersection of Skillman & 43rd Avenues in Long Island City, Queens, NYC
