Like a red carpet. Would have been amazing had it been red cobblestones, or red brick for that matter. Like in The Wizard of Oz. When Dorothy commences to embark on her lengthy journey to the Emerald City along the yellow brick road, the yellow brick and the red brick roads are situated side-by-side to each other, and as they spiral out from Munchkin City, the roads separate.
In the book, Dorothy travels along three different colored brick roads: yellow, red and purple. And there had still been yet another brick road in blue. Obviously, I read too much

The Greenstreets program converts paved, vacant traffic islands, and medians into green spaces filled with trees, shrubs, and groundcover in an effort to capture stormwater.
The program is a part of the NYC Green Infrastructure Plan. All funding for Greenstreet construction under this plan is administered by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

My neighborhood desperately needs additional supermarkets and for the past several years now there's been a huge influx of Asian citizens moving into the area. Whoever's responsible for constructing this Asian-centric supermarket is going to make a fortune
----
Eight Story Complex Including Big Asian Supermarket Proposed for 38th Avenue in Dutch Kills
The development is expected to be eight stories tall and go up on 38th Avenue between 30th Street and Old Ridge Road. The top six floors would be for apartments, while the bottom two floors–totaling 12,000 square feet– to be set aside for an Asian supermarket.

I noticed that crawler drill from a block away and was shocked as there used to be a nice house on that corner. Astoria is certainly in a state of flux and the unending building boom has enveloped the entire neighborhood.
Future-ready technology and mesmerizing design, the perfect combination. Get The fastest 5G smartphone in the segment TECNO Pova 5G
This dumpy furniture store. Let's see what happens here
I'm betting how this entire block will be transformed:
This corner car dealer, the furniture store, corner hotel, 7/11, restaurant, empty lot, Tower Car dealership, NY Public Library building and the "for sale" (previous) paint building will all be completely torn down and a bunch of skyscraper luxury rental apartment buildings will take their place.
Unlike most, I walk everywhere and are constantly photographing scenes just like this
If you have a NYC Transit reflective vest, you can seemingly park anywhere for free in all of NYC. Seems to also work for construction workers' vests/placards
Who's to say these people even work for NYC Transit, or in construction for that matter. Apparently it works, as I walk to/fro my place of employment every day and see this all the time
