Tout entassés...
Ils étaient plus d'une douzaine à s’entasser les uns contre les autres sur un tout petit banc de sable un peu au large. Je les avais vu au loin en vol aller s'y installer. Au début je croyais faire face à un groupe de Bécasseaux semi-palmé. J'ai alors pris le pari d'amorcer une approche toute en douceur, même si ils étaient loin, afin de profiter du fait que plusieurs d'entre eux faisaient un somme, ils sont alors beaucoup plus calmes et moins nerveux. C'est lorsque j'étais tout près en position de m'installer dans l'eau entourant le banc afin d'amener ma lentille à sa surface tel un périscope peut le faire, que je me suis aperçu qu'il s'agissait plutôt d'un groupe de Bécasseaux Sanderling, toujours un grand plaisir que de les capter ceux-là, encore plus lorsque le soleil amorce à l'horizon sa descente, baignant tout le secteur d'une belle lumière.

I enhanced the sky with some clouds, by using Luminar AI photo software, which is rather cool for doing things like this, and also added a flock of birds to accompany the Pope for this occasion.
