A little over a week ago, I biked about 20 miles on a nice fall Saturday to a North Side Cemetery called Rosehill Cemetery to see this musician. It was really something eerie and special. I'm glad I was able to buy her albums on vinyl at the show, too.

In April 22th, 2006, we got married in this same beach here in Playa del Carmen, maybe this is why we keep on returning almost every year. Here is like Paradise.
I can remember waiting in the warm white sand on that day, around 5 o'clock in the afternoon, then she arrived walking with his father. She was wearing a beautiful strapless dress, and a wonderful smile. Oh my, the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Then, this piece of music started, Fullness Of Wind (Variation On 'The Canon In D Major' By Johann Pachelbel), by Brian Eno, which made this moment perfect. I was so nervous, but then, the ceremony was well, and since then, it has been 14 years of a strong marriage.
This year, our celebration will be indoors, but again, there are a lot to celebrate, there is hope, we are regaining health again, and our family is together and strong.

Taking a Pastry Course at the French Culinary Institute soon…so I thought I’d start reading some chapters before class begins.
I like to listen to ambient music while studying.

Subject: Food Color Abstract

I was listening to ambient music while photographing these beautiful swirls of colors. It was like watching a kaliadescope in a dish.
I used butter milk for this photo with neon food colors. For those not in the Assignment52 group, addiing the dish soap makes the food color drops explode into wild pattern. At some point I used a toothpick to gently move the colors into swirly patterns in the dish.
I haven't tried this technique in a long time and forgotten how difficult it is to get a great photo. Most of the work to make these photos look good is in post-processing. Because the colors on the milk does not have crisp edges, it is difficult to get a clearly defined photo. This was one out of about 100 photos I took that made the post-processing cut.
