From the 1960's TV Series

I've often thought that this Batmobile was the prettiest. All those movie versions are just plain ugly. There, I said it. And I'm sticking to it.

I was digging through some papers the other day and found an Amazon gift card I'd forgotten about. And voila! I now own a Batmobile!

Warning - there will be more pictures to come.

So I am currently at 243 followers. I've decided that for 250, I'll be hosting a contest!

Rules

The contest is simple, make 2-5 DC or Marvel minifigures if they received one of the 9 lantern rings.

The list, for those not as intune with Lantern lore, includes Green (Willpower), Yellow (Fear), Violet/Pink (Love), Red (Rage), Blue (Hope), Orange (Avarice), Indigo (Compassion), Black (Death), and White (Life).

This contest will also uphold a rule that if a character was previously a member of the lantern corps, (Flash being a Blue Lantern, Lex Luthor being an Orange Lantern, etc.) they can not be made in that color.

This contest allows customizing to an extent (no fully painted figures) and MecaBricks, but I will only allow official Lego pieces for anyone who does use Meca.

Entries must tag me and be added to the group that this photo is in!

End Date and Prize

So the end day for this contest is not set in stone. depending on when I officially hit 250, the contest will last a specific amount of time after. I will be flexible with the date.

The prizes for this contest are as follows

3rd Place: A shout-out (boring, I know)

2nd Place: A One-Shot written on something of your choosing.

1st Place: A $20 Amazon gift card.

Well, that's it. Good Luck for those who enter!

What a lovely relaxed work day compared to the rest of the week, and the past few weeks. I still did loads, and still have lots to do, but had no meetings, and finally felt like I was starting to get on top of things.

Broke off from work around 4pm and walked up to the pond with Tim (his first time outside in ages, as he's still been feeling unwell) - and saw lots of tiny little ducklings! They must be very, very new, as there was no sign of them yesterday. They were so cute - and quick, darting about all over the place, but I managed to get a few sharp shots.

One year today since we implemented our new CRM system at work. I sent a message to my colleague Jack this evening to wish him a happy CRM-iversary, and he responded by sending me a ridiculously generous gift (an Amazon gift card for a huge amount), to thank me for my work over the past year. I honestly was not fishing for any sort of praise or reward, I was just congratulating/commiserating on our mutual survival of the past year! Gave him a call this evening to thank him (after he'd made it very clear I could only accept the gift).

Friday night :) Watched the penultimate episode of Years and Years with Tim. It's so good!

So, my contest is done! I've hit 250 followers and am now announcing the winners.

First off, I'd like to say thank you all for entering, everyone had great entries. One imparticular, done by Rongzero, nearly got third place, but just lost it, so shouts to him.

Anyhow, in third place we have Superior Idiot. What really got him here was Doom, being super spectacular, along with his Hulk and Jean. He'll be getting a shout-out post.

In second place we have Killer Moth with, Killer Moth, Kite Man, and Firefly. Not only are the figures really well done, but the backstories he gave are great. I'll be writing a One-Shot of your choice! You can message me on discord or in the comments on what you want the One-Shot to be about.

And... Regretfully, WildeMikey is in first. His Carnage and Captain America both were absolutely fantastic, as well as a very good Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Doom. sigh And yes, you get a Amazon gift card, fuck you. I'll send you the stuff on discord as soon as I get it.

So once again thank you everyone who entered and congrats to all the winners!

I took this with the Sigma 105 mm lens I returned to Amazon. No, I didn't dislike it. It's a very nice lens. I had taken part of my tax refund and had Turbotax give it to me as an Amazon gift card (to which they added 10% ... nice). I meant to purchase the lens against that card, but instead they charged my credit card. They wouldn't change it, so I returned it. My replacement (the same lens) is coming tomorrow ... Can't wait :) ...

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I had no idea that a special holiday Bratz doll would be released for the 20 Yearz line. I was stalking the re-release of Sweetheart Meygan on Amazon when I first learned of this Felicia doll's existence. At the time, Felicia was sold out via Amazon, but other sellers had her for $75 plus. I wasn't sure what she retailed for (although I did figure that this price was somewhat inflated). But I knew I did not want to fork over that much dough for her. I was hoping I'd be able to get my hands on this doll, since my collection lacks any Felicia, except my Big Babyz doll. My Big Babyz Felicia doesn't have her original outfit and was damaged badly when I got her back in 2013. People ALWAYS question whether or not she is actually Felicia, since her skin is much lighter than Felicia's signature super dark tone. Turns out there are two variations of Big Babyz Felicia, each sporting different skin shades (I thought my doll was a Sasha when I bought her, and was shocked to identify her as Felicia). Anyways, after a few months of admiring this doll online (while checking for Sweetheart Meygan daily to see if anyone returned her and she was substantially cheaper), I began to fall madly in love with Felicia. Her caramel highlighted tresses, ornate yellow ball gown, and sultry classic Bratz facial screening were irresistible. I didn't want to have to pay the $55 for her (as it turns out is her normal price point). One day, Colleen came home with a Teacher's Appreciation gift from her work. Included in the gift basket, among some hand washes and a towel, was a $10 Amazon gift card. She eagerly presented it to me in the Jeep and said, "This is perfect! We can put this toward one of the new Bratz dolls you've been wanting!" I guess the new Bratz were also on her brain! Not long after, I noticed that a Felicia doll turned up in the Amazon Warehouse section for $10 off. This was the opportune moment to act--between the $10 discount because she was returned, plus the $10 gift card, I was able to save $20 altogether on Felicia. I always try to find loopholes to save money on newly released dolls, so I can buy more than just one thing (this way, if I did have to get Sweet Heart Meygan, Rock Angelz Sasha, or Rock Angelz Roxxi for full price later I didn't have to feel as guilty). Felicia had to journey across the entire country from the warehouse she was stored at. She arrived home on a Friday, in a battered box. It looked like her previous "owner" (more like purchaser) started to open the package but then was put off by something. I figured it wasn't the banged up box itself, because clearly they were going to open this doll anyways. Then I noticed she had a few dots of pink paint outside her lips. This small blemish didn't bother me in the slightest, especially since it procured me her for $10 cheaper. What was noticeably bothersome was Felicia's insane tresses. She's supposed to have kinky curls like 2003 Style It! Sasha. Sometimes dolls with this hair texture are perfect for display right out of the package (in this case I skip the routine washing just to prevent messing up the temperamental curls). I expected this would probably be the case with Felicia, given that she was a collector doll. I did NOT anticipate that she would have random clumps of hair product caked into her mane, along with a huge wad of hair balled up on the underside of her head. Plus, there were some curls that were super frizzy and undefined. I tried my best to salvage the curls. Usually a wash, combined with gentle detangling with loads of conditioner and a wide tooth comb, finished with a super hot boil wash do the trick at restoring this hair type. I've had several secondhand dolls in worse shape that cleaned up with this technique. But as I wet Felicia's hair, I knew I was in trouble. The wad I mentioned earlier was a random clump of unattached hair....it must have broken off during the styling or rooting process. Her hair was surprisingly easy to detangle, although it did shed as expected (not badly though). I boil washed her twice with a personal bowl and water heated in my kettle (better for dolls with especially gnarly tresses). The curls deflated a bit, as I knew they would (it made her hair a little longer, but she still had kinky curls). But after she dried, there were quite a a few coils that were frizzy and split looking. The only way to address this was to flat iron those pieces and then curl them with straws. Even so, the long nature of her hair (which is nylon by the way, so in curly mode it's annoying to deal with) would prove to be a hindrance. I imagined Felicia's hair getting caught up in Winter Ball Beauty Cloe's hands (her shelf mate). I could see the weight of her kinky curls causing her to topple over, taking anyone near her out too, because her hair would sweep them in like a tornado's vortex. And then there would be future deep cleaning to consider. When the day came she needed a bath for extra dust removal, I would once again have to tame the beast. So I came up with a plan B: I would flat iron ALL her hair and see where that put me. Since her mane retained some slight flips at the end, I thought I'd stop here (rather than crimp her which had been a potential idea of mine). I styled some of her front pieces in twists to keep them out of her face. I then added a handmade headband to make her look extra ornate (and because I felt like using my yellow ribbon and fabric roses). I even glued a few little rhinestones on each rose to pick up the shimmery designs from her ensemble. Yes, it would have been easier if I could have kept her hair in its original style (I did very much love the kinky curls). But I had fun personalizing her a bit for display safety reasons (the aforementioned Cloe I imagined her taking out), and for hygiene reasons (future deep cleans and routine dustings). I never had a traditional Bratz Felicia doll, and I must say I'm so grateful that this amazing treasure was my first. She's the apple of my eye, and she's a lovely addition to the family.

BOX DATE: 2021

MANUFACTURER: M.G.A.

RELEASES: 2003 Sweet Heart; 2021 Sweet Heart

BODY TYPE: 2001; 57851; pink painted lace panties; articulated elbows & wrists; bend & snap legs

HEAD MOLD: 2001; closed lips; pierced ears

IMPORTANT NOTES: As mentioned above, this Meygan was originally sold in 2003. Based on comparisons I could make online, it appears that the outfits and accessories from the 2021 doll are identical. The doll herself has the same hairstyle and facial screening as the original 2003 version. However, she has added articulation at the elbows and wrists. She also features pink painted lace panties, and a code (578581) stamped on her back.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I desperately wanted this Meygan doll as far back as 2003 when she came out. At the time, I was just a kid so I could only acquire dolls my dad approved of buying. I admit that my father was ALWAYS willing to buy me a Bratz doll. He got a kick out of their silly, oversized heads and provocative clothes. Not to mention they made me so incredibly happy and I was constantly playing with them. I guess I felt shy when it came to these collector Bratz though. I knew that Bratz in general were more expensive than the average Barbie (thus the superior quality). I figured that the collector dolls would be outrageously pricey...not the kind of thing to bother Dad with. That's why as an adult collector I made a point of stalking some of the other dolls from the early 2000s collector series. Meygan proved to be quite elusive. For YEARS I only had her plastic angel purse...a misplaced item that came in a Lil' Bratz eBay lot. I mostly focused on purchasing Bratz on eBay in 2012-2014. Since they made a huge comeback in 2015, instead I hunted for them in stores. That meant I wasn't focusing on out of date, secondhand dolls. Let's fast forward to late 2021. I was browsing Amazon one morning, in pursuit of the "1st Edition" re-released Bratz. I was trying to corner Sasha and Jade...the only ones from the series I could justify buying. I noticed that there was a Sweet Heart Meygan for $40 at the top of the results. "That's odd," I thought to myself, "that's kind of cheap for her right now." Given that Bratz were back in "vogue" I knew that secondhand prices were extremely ridiculous. Then it occurred to me...maybe she was a re-release. I cautiously clicked on Meygan, trying not to get my hopes up. As it turns out, MGA HAD reissued her! The most notable difference was the heart shape of her package. Meygan also had articulated arms for some reason. Other than that, she was identical to the 2003 dolly I coveted for so many years. It became my life's mission to hunt this doll down for an even better deal. I was hoping she'd get listed via the Amazon Warehouse for around $25. I can be quite cheap when it comes to paying full price for things...the more bargains I get, the more dolls I can buy! It took MONTHS for me to corner a Meygan. I relentlessly checked for her daily on Amazon, as well as other store websites. One evening in late June of 2022, my friend, Lisa, asked if I could order her something from Amazon. Lisa and her parents don't feel comfortable online shopping. So whenever they need to buy items via the internet, Colleen and I do it for them and they pay us back. Since Lisa's request was only $12, I checked Bratz dolls for myself (that way we'd qualify for free shipping...win win for everyone). I didn't expect Meygan would be marked down...but she was! Granted, she was around $34...only a few dollars off. BUT, I had a ten dollar Amazon gift card that was waiting for her. Yes, I literally set aside the gift card just for Meygan...plotting to use it in addition to an Amazon Warehouse discount. Meygan arrived a few days later, sometime before dinner. It had been a hectic day...what with getting my Jeep windshield replaced that morning. I was a tad nervous opening Meygan up, given that my two most recent Amazon Warehouse experiences had been disastrous (see O.M.G. Lonestar for more details). Luckily, Meygan was still fully sealed, with only a large dent on the outer part of her box. I always thought Sweet Heart was one of the most unique Meygan dolls of her time. Her hair color almost looks pink...perfectly suited for the Valentine's theme. Plus, she sports these extra wide, angelic eyes (similar to the Strut It! line). I'm laid back when it comes to wonky dolls with facial defects/errors. But I can ALWAYS appreciate a perfectly screened dolly. This Meygan has just that...a flawlessly symmetrical face. Gazing into those baby blues transports me back twenty years ago, when I'd admire her in Kmart's Bratz aisle! Sweet Heart Meygan was without a doubt the re-released Bratz doll I most looked forward to...and boy did she exceed my expectations!

My son gave me an Amazon gift card for Christmas. 🎁 I ordered a knit hat and gloves, had enough leftover for these 2 little cuties! Designed by Japanese doll maker Midori. 👧💕👧

Here are the dolls i bought today with my Christmas amazon gift card!

BOX DATE: 2004

MANUFACTURER: M.G.A.

DOLLS IN LINE: Cloe; Yasmin; Sasha; Jade; Dana

RELEASES: 2004 Girls Nite Out!; 2022 21st Birthday Edition

BODY TYPE: 2001; painted shimmer panties; bend & snap legs; glittery body

HEAD MOLD: 2001; parted lips; rooted eyelashes; pierced ears

IMPORTANT NOTES: The 2022 21st Birthday Edition doll is identical, but has a code (584728) on her back and is packaged with less accessories/clothes (see outfit photo for more details).

***The doll on the left is 2004 Girls Nite Out!; the doll on the right is 2022 21st Birthday Edition Yasmin.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: Girls Nite Out! Yasmin was by far one of the most tragic flea market rescues in all my doll collecting years! When I found Yasmin (doll on left) in the spring of 2017, on a table at my local flea market, she was a mortifying sight. Yasmin was on a torso, which had no legs, and only one arm. It's not all that common for me to find broken Bratz dolls during my secondhand doll hunts. It's even stranger/more bizarre for me to find a doll that is missing so many limbs. What was most heartbreaking about Yasmin's state was the fact that this damage did not look accidental. Due to the clean looking removal of the limbs, I'd gander that she was taken apart as some sort of sadistic experiment. Typically, if a doll broke from play, there would be broken parts. Another indicator of this was the fact that little Yasmin was in beautiful shape otherwise. Her hair was only slightly messy, but was still styled in it's original do. Her eyelashes were all intact, and brand new looking. Most heavily played with dolls who have rooted lashes aren't so lucky. And to top it off, Yasmin's face paint was flawless--a doll that had lost two legs and an arm from aggressive play would more than likely have some rubs and chips in her face paint. This is a sad reality that is not all that uncommon when purchasing secondhand dolls. Many children, when they start to get bored of their dolls, turn to mutilation and destruction of the dollies as a way to pass the time, and to win the approval of their peers. Looking at this Yasmin doll reminds me of those "destroy Barbie" parties that kids at my sister's school hosted when we were little girls. At least Yasmin's hair wasn't cut, nor was she drawn on, which are also common forms of doll torture. I understand growing out of something, and that this change of interest can often lead to neglected, and unloved dolls. But I can never fathom why anyone would ever take pride and joy out of something so mean spirited, like ruining a doll purely for fun. It's not only cruel, but also wasteful, and my heart goes out to all those dolls that could have gone on to live better lives with people who loved/appreciated them, but instead were massacred to the point of no return, and ended up in a landfill somewhere. That is why I took it upon myself to rescue Yasmin when I found her at the flea market. Like one of my Kissing Barbies, she too had been intentionally harmed, and may have ended up in a landfill somewhere down the line, had I not brought her back to life. Seeing how perfect and mint looking she is now, compared to the doll I first met, makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. What a true shame and waste it would have been for this doll to have been thrown out or destroyed further! She is easily the prettiest of all my Girls Nite Out! Bratz, and in a short time, she came to be my most special too! I hope that she never has to suffer in this life the way she did in her previous one. I know that as long as I own her, she will be loved, appreciated, and respected every day!

I loved my first Girls Nite Out Yasmin so much, that the idea of getting another for the outfits was greatly appealing. I was ecstatic when I learned that MGA was re-releasing the Girls Nite Out ladies in late 2022. Of course, at $37 each, it's not like I could buy them all, and I had to wait for sales. Since I had Yasmin and Dana themselves, but none of their fixings, they were priority to me. On the other hand, I had ALL of Jade and Cloe's stuff, but not the dolls...weird how that works out. As for Sasha, I've had the doll and the majority of her fixings for years (so she was ranked as last priority). I stalked Amazon regularly hoping for some of the dolls to get marked down via the Warehouse returns. I've acquired many dolls this way, and have saved a small fortune doing so. One day, a Girls Nite Out Yasmin was listed for around $10 off, in February of 2023. We had an Amazon gift card too, that would more than cover the cost of her. After some contemplation, I decided to pull the trigger. That's how my lady on the right became part of the collection. I was nervous about the condition she'd arrive in . Someone had bought my 20 Yearz Rock Angelz Sasha, stolen the accessories their original doll was missing, and then returned her. I wondered if this Yasmin would have the same problem. If it were just tiny plastic accessories, I could live with that. But I NEEDED the extra outfit for my old Yasmin. Funnily enough, I'm more inclined to buy a duplicated doll if she can provide for my original. When Yasmin arrived, all her stuff was floating around the tray of her box. But every single item was intact, which was a huge relief. I know I didn't pay anything for her (given the gift card), but it was comforting knowing someone else hadn't cheated the system and stolen doll stuff. I can guess exactly why this doll was returned. HOLY EYELASHES BATMAN!!! It looks like she has two black crows flying out of her eyeballs. These are way too thick and long for Yasmin's face. Personally, this "flaw" makes me laugh and I think it gives her personality. Although I can see why someone would be disappointed if say they'd always wanted a Girls Nite Out Yasmin...and they were greeted with these lashes.

searching for my remote!!! i didn't find it. thank god my dad gave me an amazon gift card awhile ago...

on black

I used some Amazon gift card birthday money to get myself this camera. It's really rather bizarre. It's labeled Aviva, but it's made by Great Wall--you can see "Great Wall" on the lens. Rebranded Aviva for some reason.

It's a replica of a Fujica ST-F, which I've never heard of.

It's all made out of cheap plastic. But it has an actual viewfinder (it's an SLR) and a light meter. It's like a toy camera, complete with vignetting, but you can tell if it's in focus and exposing correctly!

Frozen stickers and peel and stick wall decals (still in their original boxes) and Frozen 2014 Calendar. Also a snow flake shaped tin for an Amazon gift card (Christmas bonus from work). I've already used a couple of the stickers from the small assorted wall decal package, and the one for Elsa is awesome looking with silver glitter embellishments on her outfit and some of the snowflakes in the background.

Each respondent after that receives 1 point, whether the artist named is correct or not.. 2 points will be awarded if there were not 5 awards.

Incorrect responses will be awarded at least one point (there is no penalty for guessing...actually encouraged). The opportunity to accrue points can only happen within a maximum of 24 hours. Once the full photograph of the work of Art is elevated and the artist identified, no additional scoring (for that work can occur). (In other words, regardless of pleas, points will not be awarded for a comment/ID made days after the posting) ( Also, 15 guesses does not generate 15 points...only 1 point )

A favorite of the photograph will also garnish 1 point ( only if nothing else is ventured by the participant,…1 point is not added to any other points awarded ).

A summary of scores for the top five positions will be published each Sunday, at the beginning of each set of five photographs.

Caveats / Understanding:

Postings may be held up due to circumstances beyond my control.

Delays in posting may occur each evening. ( sorry, no guarantee on 8:00 EST, I’m a working stiff in the finance industry and there are late nights at times. – usually month end btw ).

In addition, as most of you are aware, part of the clues for each identity is a “presence/absence” notation about whether the artist has been in a prior Identity Set. Because flickr’s new format doesn’t facilitate the reading of a long list of names in a “Set’s” overview/description, those lists are also available on request. If you send me an email address that can receive attachments, I will transmit an Windows based Excel sheet with the names of the artists and the number of their paintings/objects. ( Be sure to specify which format you would like: xlsx; xls; csv; txt – tab delimited – if you don’t specify the default is xlsx MS Office-10). ( non-windows participants should request txt).

Also, sorry for the bias the timing provides those in the Americas but no matter how I thought about it… I couldn’t come up with a plan to assist Europe and Asia.

I recently got bit by the PN/ Ex cute bug once again and grabbed these two girls. Princess Aika was an early holiday gift to myself (and I only paid 50$ bc I had an amazon gift card woo hoo!) because I've always wanted her but haven't had the chance to get her, with all the other dolls I collect.

Secret Wonderland Aika was a huge surprise! I was on Mandarake just to look around and found her boxed for like 125$ I think? I'd never seen her for such a good price and I had to have her, she was the first Azone girl I'd ever wanted but could never get. DHL is SUPER fast shipping so I got her within a few days.

SW Aika has a mix of two bodies- the original flection (from the mid-torso up) and the original Azone full action body which I stole from Princess Aika. I really hate the old flection but I'm not going to buy her the full action one, seeing as the new Obitsu body is supposed to launch this month and the new Full Action PN body is supposed to be here this year too. I'm waiting on hand sets A and B from coolcat and I might get the C set depending on when the new body comes out.

I re-bought Secret Wonderland Lien from Amiami for a GREAT price a few days ago too, just because she's so pretty and mine is a little rough from over the years and I didn't treat her very well. I'm excited to be able to straighten her hair and still keep most of the original length with all the hair skill I have now.

ALSO They've both had Liquid Fusion squirted in their heads and were left to dry for a few days before washing (and in SW's case straightening). I find that Japanese companies do a really bad job at rooting vinyl heads, like they do nothing to secure the hair inside the scalp and I don't want any plugs to fall out or anything. Doesn't seep through the head, dries like vinyl. I use both E6000 and Liquid fusion for reroots and they both work about the same.

I can't decide who I'm going to get next! Little Witch Himeno is so pretty but I also want SPG Miu and I don't want an army of silver haired girls. Maybe I do. Also really want the blonde version of SW Chiika but she's like 200$ lol

Wednesday, January 14, 2015 the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System, Buffalo Sabres Left Wing Marcus Foligno, Sabretooth and the Library’s owl mascot Reada Book announced plans for the 4th annual Winter Reading Challenge.

Students from Buffalo’s Bennett Park Montessori School attended the event.

Now through March 20,2015 readers of all ages can stay warm and work out their minds by reading age-appropriate books and then logging a short book review on the Library System website (www.BuffaloLib.org). The more books one reads, the greater the odds of winning a prize. There will be one winner randomly selected at each of the 37 Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries in categories for Children/Teens, Classrooms and Adults. One lucky adult will score a Kindle Fire HDX eReader. Additionally, upon online registration, each contestant is eligible to win one of the 37 branch-level prizes including a $25 Amazon gift card.

Wearing his number 82 jersey, Marcus Foligno, now in his fourth season with the Sabres, took a break from his hockey schedule to slide over to the downtown Central Library where he read the classic children’s story Curious George at the Parade to Bennett Park students in the second through fourth grades.

“When I want to discover new and exciting things, I take off the ice skates, grab a book and read away! The more I read, the more I learn about the amazing world around us,” Foligno said.

Bought as a part of a prime day deal

Damn,I hardly know where to start with this one. When this came out,my first reaction was "another not so great new Peanuts special" like the ones they've put out since around 2000. You know how it is,you're raised on the old school classics, and the newer ones they've put out the past years or so,eh. Still cool to see the old strips put to movable "skits",but still, not the same as the ones we grew up with

Then I read online how it was REALLY well done and totally made in the style of the old specials. I just got through watching it,and I'm telling you,it's seriously like if they found an old lost early 70's Peanuts special. The look & feel is just like the classic ones. They went above and beyond to make this as basically an homage to old school Peanuts. not just in the style, but in all the great references. As Snoopy's scanning the neighborhood looking for Linus and his blanket, there's Freida and her cat Faron. Then the 2 dancing twins from A Charlie Brown Xmas jumping rope. Then Shermy & Patty(not Peppermint) playing in the sandbox

There's a GREAT part where Linus asks Charlie Brown if he has any bad moments in his past that would require a security blanket (or something like that) and it shows in 2 color flashbacks so many great classic 'poor Chuck" moments including the animated version of the very first Peanuts strip ever www.bryanthankins.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/first-pe... but in the 70's style

There was not ONE SINGLE to reference to anything from present day. It was an incredible mix of the classic 70's Peanuts special style & super polished top notch animation. You could tell it was a top drawer newer production but you completely felt the old school vibe 100%. The part that really impressed me is that like all the other specials,it was basically a collection of old strips tied together in an animated special, but nearly every one was ones they haven't used in the other ones. I grew up with peanuts and I know every line that was ever uttered from day one until about the mid 80's,so it was great to get excited over hearing so many classic bits.

And speaking of lines,it's amazing how they found kids that sound almost EXACTLY like the voices from the old specials. Not all were perfect, but that part was just great. I'm telling you,if you are an old school peanuts lover like me,you MUST get this dvd. I am so beyond impressed and filled with joy over this. BRAVO

PS Thanks to eartha for turning me onto this edu.surveygizmo.com/s3/605792/Flickr-and-You-gen83111978 I got a 5 dollar Amazon gift card which is why I even bought this special in the first place. I really had no big intention of buying it,but since it was so cheap after the 5 buck discount,I figured, what the hey

A nice Firestar costume. Yes, the eyes do tend to attract your attention, don't they?

There should be a prize for Least Comfortable Costume. You get points for wearing hard contacts, thick fur or sweaty latex...or both at the same time. You'll also get points for stiletto heels, for choosing a character who's required to wear fifty pounds of equipment distributed everywhere in addition to a forty-pound backpack, etc...

Of course, we'd have to make this an unnanounced, discreet contest. The winner finds out about the contest only when a $500 Amazon gift card arrives in his or her Inbox. The goal would be to reward people who thought "Wow, this costume, as I've conceived it, will guarantee me six hours of hurt. But damn, I can't get this 'Statue Of Liberty Made Out Of Real Copper on top of an authentic granite base' costume idea out of my head..."

Yasmina Clairvoya, Bratzillaz Wave 2 Basic Doll. I was attracted to those pants, and then when I got the doll, her hair is so soft and she is so cute. I ended up spending the last of my amazon gift card on her signature release as well as Jade J'Adore. 😊
