Operated by Atlas Air, "Valor" is named in honour of the Veterans and military spouses working at Amazon. N1487A was Amazon Air’s 40th Boeing 767 freighter and is seen here departing Ontario, California, bound for Chicago Rockford, Illinois, having arrived earlier from Kahului, Hawaii.
Who do you think won this stare off contest?
If you guessed me then you would be correct. I've been told I have infinite patience with animals and none with humans. I tend to agree as animals make me happy and most humans not so much.
BTW if you get the NatGeo Wild channel they are running a series on our zoo. It's called "Secrets of the Zoo: North Carolina" If that channel is unavailable you can also purchase it from Amazon Prime for $10(US) for the entire series.
Former Air Europa Boeing 737-800 EC-III has been converted to a freighter and joined the ASL fleet in December 2021. Now wearing the bold Prime Air livery, it is seen about to touch down on Liege's Runway 05R as the ABR425 from Milan-Malpensa.

I order roasted, unsalted peanuts in the shell for the squirrels at my house. I get 25 pounds at a time and they are delivered to my doorstep. The squirrels can smell the peanuts in the box, so they don't bother to wait for me to unpack them. They help themselves to the contents. I got home yesterday and they had already started without me.

This is an older pic that I never posted for some reason, but I've been watching a lot of documentaries about H.R. Giger lately, so I thought I'd share it!
Giger, for those aren't in the know, is the Swiss painter responsible for the original creature design for the movie "Alien", and later on "Species". His work was equal parts grotesque, erotic and occult. To find out more about Giger and his work, check out the documentaries "H.R. Giger Revealed" on Amazon Prime and "Memory: The Origins Of Alien" on Crackle.
Also worth a watch is "Jodorowsky's Dune", about a version of Frank Herbert's "Dune" that was never made. Giger did design work for the movie, and if he hadn't been involved, his work on "Alien" might have never happened. Fascinating stuff!

Seen here holding at Runway 10 (as seen by the reflection) Dublin back in September 2012.
The old American Airlines tin livery was always brilliant to see any reflections on the body!
