Concorde G-BOAA was the first of the type to be delivered to British Airways and was delivered to the airline on 14 January 1976. She flew until 2004 when all Concordes were retired, during which time she had made 6842 supersonic flights.
She now can be visited at the Museum of Flight in Scotland in a purpose-built hangar and thousands come to see her outside and inside every year.

21 year old polar bear (Ursus maritimus) "Chinook" confidently strides across her enclosure at the San Diego Zoo.
Chinook was orphaned in the Western Hudson Bay region of Manitoba, Canada, and has been living in San Diego for the past 20 years.

CREDO at a corner under reconstruction on the way "home" in Cannaregio, Venice - this poster has haunted me until today when I suddenly knew what to do with it.
A little TLR TLC.
Decided to show a little loving to a couple of recently purchased medium format TLR cameras. Gave them a little cleaning and dusting and then a little family portrait to commemorate the event.
Captured using a Sony Alpha 6000 (ILCE-6000) camera with Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 80/2.8 lens mounted on a Fotodiox NEX-M42 adapter.
In social animals, the alpha is the individual in the community with the highest rank. Male or female individuals or both can be alphas, depending on their species.
In hierarchical social animals, alphas usually gain preferential access to food, preferential access to sex or mates, and in some species only alphas are permitted to reproduce.
The position of alpha also changes in some species, usually through a physical fight between a dominant and subordinate animal. Such fights may or may not be to the death, with relevant behavior varying between circumstance and species.
