Last Weekend Craig and I went away for the night...
It was our Wedding Anniversary on the 13th...
So we decided to be spontaneous...
Jump in the car and get out of Auckland for a bit...
So we flipped a coin and headed North...
Ending up in Whangarei for a late lunch...
About 2.5 hours North of Auckland...
It had a quaint and relaxing little waterfront ...
Looked the perfect place to chill out and explore!
Sunday we took a harbour cruise to Matakohe Island
Our Shadows came along for the weekend too...
After all... it was 'their' Anniversary as well.
On Saturday night we spotted them...
Having a quite moment in the early evening sun...
A nice momento of a lovely time away! %-)

For Rachel. An image full of the colors of candy, combined with a song as full of life and zest as her bubbly personality! She played this song every single day of our trip and sang it to me while out on the trails!

This is such a beautiful song from the Dublin boys, off the rattle and Hum soundtrack. Such a beautifully simple song floating between only a couple cords. It’s not the complexity of a song always, btu the composition and this is a great example of this.
This is yet another song that has such a buildup of emotion and sound. At the end Bono leaves us on a high note of belting out his emotions- and I am always left speechless.
