In order to address the problem of water scarcity in Swabi District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, #Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter has implemented another water project in Village Topy. This water project is expected to provide clean water for drinking and domestic usage to almost 23 families living in this village.

Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Central Punjab chapter arranged a one-day trip to Pakistan Army Museum for the street children getting early education at Alkhidmat Child Protection Centers in Lahore. On the occasion, the children were briefed about the history of Pakistan and stories of martyrdom. They were also shown the old and latest weapons of war used by Pakistan Army. During the trip, the children also expressed their deep love for Pakistan and Armed Forces of Pakistan.

Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Peshawar Orphan Care Program marked Kashmir Solidarity Day across the province to commemorate the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people in their struggle for independence. Special ceremonies were held at different schools and educational institutions managed by the AKFP for this purpose. The students also participated in a number of activities on the occasion.

 

Alkhidmat Foundation Sindh Chapter has completed another Clean Drinking Water Project (Community Hand Pump) at Village Wango of Tehsil Kaloie of District Tharparkar Sindh. Around 22 Families will get benefit from this project daily.

Peshawar, 29-12-2013: Al-Khidmat Foundation arranged a one-day training workshop for medical officers of all Al-Khidmat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa clinics, health centers, and hospital.

President Al-Khidmat KPK Mr. Noor Ul Haq was the chief guest on the occasion. Director Paraplegic Center Hayatabad, Dr. Alyas Syed delivered a lecture on management while Dr. Sajid Iqbal lectured about preventive measure against Dengue. Al-Khidmat Foundation’s provincial health manager for KPK, Mr. Majeed Ullah presented progress reports on Al-Khidmat Foundations project—Charsadda and Dir Hospital projects and maternity hospitals. Medical officers of Al-Khidmat Foundation KPK health centers presented progress reports of their respective health units while Dr. Zubair presented the progress report of Al-Khidmat blood bank.

After evaluating the situation, Al-Khidmat Foundation declared Mithi as their base camp. Al-Khidmat Foundation Sind, Dr. Syed. Tabassum Jaffri and President Al-Khidmat Foundation Tharparkar Mr. Mir Muhammad Baledi are overseeing Al-Khidmat Foundation’s relief activities.

Since 7th March, 2014 Al-Khidmat Foundation has sent 8 trucks of aid to Mithi, carrying 1,000 ration packages, 14,885 kg rice, 1,575 bags of flour, 1,500 half-kg dry milk packets, 1,000 one-litre milk packets, 3,000 sugar packets of half-kg each, 3,500 packets of biscuits, 500 packets Ghee of 350 grams each, 500 kg potatoes, 220 kg of peas, 500 packets of tea, 300 tons of meat, and 6,000 bottles of water of 6 liters each.

Biscuits and milk packets are distributed keeping in view the need of mothers and children.

In association with PIMA Relief, Al-Khidmat Foundation arranged a medical camp in front of District Head-quarter Hospital Mithi, where 3 doctors assisted by 5 paramedical staff medically examined more than 2000 patients. Moreover, Al-Khidmat Foundation also arranged medical camps in Islamkot, Chachar, and Nagarpar. Free medicines have been provided to patients and two of Al-Khidmat Foundation’s ambulances are used to transport the patients to and from the hospital.

More than 20,000 people, especially women and children have benefited from Al-Khidmat Foundation’s relief operation.

Director Disaster Management Al-Khidmat Foundation, Mr. Ejazullah Khan along with his team reached Mithi. A kitchen will be constructed in Mithi which is used to feed more than 500 affectees each day.

Considering the reliance of local population on livestock, Al-Khidmat Foundation has started a veterinary clinic in which veterinary doctors have been vaccinating livestock. Note that thousands of animals in the region have died due to famine.

Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Lahore chapter distributed educational kits consisting school bag, water bottle, socks and color pencils among as many as 250 orphan children. Syed Ishanullah waqas (Senior Vice President AKFP), Rana Usman Wadood (Genenral Secretary AKFP Central Punjabchapter), Abdul Aziz Abid (Vice President AKFP Central Punjab chapter), Jahangir Eisar (Director OFSP AKFP Central Punjab chapter) were also present on the occasion.

In order to ensure a smooth life for the newly married needy couples, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Women Wing Trust KPK chapter has distributed Wedding Boxes among 30 couples. The boxes contain necessary goods of everyday usage and will be of great help for the couples to start their married lives.
