The house was built 1891, to a rich trader Ubaydulla Xoʻjayev from Buxoro who exported coats of Karakul sheep resident in Uzbekistan to Russia. Here lived till 1925 also his son Fayzulla Xoʻjayev who had prepared together the opposition against emir Alim Khan with the Bolshevik and became after his escape of 1920 chairpersons of the council of ministers of the new-founded People's Republic Bukhara.
The Xoʻjayev house exists of different wings grouped around an inner courtyard in which residential rooms, sleeping rooms and stock rooms were. The house a porch has to the inner courtyard in the form of Iwan with a wooden roof supported by slender columns.
Under the living rooms are particularly lifted out a winter room with a big stove and a spring room whose windows are especially high. In the main tract lies the white hall which is decorated richly with coloured mural paintings. He served for the receipt of guests and for the celebration of parties.

Just outside Bukhara lies Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa, the summer residence of the last emirs. Built in the late 19th and early 20th century, it blends local Bukharan design with Russian and European elements — especially visible in the side buildings and guest quarters.
According to local stories, Emir Alim Khan had fallen in love with a Russian aristocrat. Hoping she would one day join him, he designed part of the palace in a European style to make her feel at home. She never came, but the result is a striking architectural fusion that reflects the Emir's hopes and the complex crossroads of his time.

While capturing this picture, a famous song of the Greatest folk musician of Bangladesh - Abdul Alim came to my mind. The song, titled "Sob Shokhire Par Korite", was featured in the movie "Shujon Shokhi", which was equally got popular in the era of black and white movies in Bangladesh.
A literal translattion from the opening of the song is like -
"To cross the river by my boat, I will take penny from everyone else. But for you, Oh my dearest friend, The price is your precious ear-ring."

I do plan on getting some kind of editing software soon, but I need to figure out the cheapest way to do it. Software-as-a-service is bullshit.

This pic was taken on a roll of Konica APS film; the first (and thus far only) roll of Konica film I've used. And based on how the roll turned out, it'll probably be the only roll of Konica film I shoot. I had to edit this pic to make it look this good, and this ain't good. And yet I persist with APS, because the first few rolls I shot in 2020/2021 did turn out good, and I'm still chasing that.
Anyway, today was the first really warm day in Toronto this year, and I went for a walk and shot an entire roll of AGFA APS film. It was nice to go out in a t-shirt and shorts for the first time this year. I saw several northern pike hovering just below the surface in the lake; I guess it's the time of year.

Diana and alim are nice couple and teacher of yoga, by diana lead we went to the beautiful big water fall of Hiao wulai , they went down the rocks infront the waterfall , the scenery was anmazing , and they showed their wonderful yuga pose , especial under the natural background , every picture was so spectacular and romatic feeling , incredible views , thank Diana and alim , they did their best art works
# A picture of Alim Khan (1880-1944), Emir of Bukhara, taken in 1911. This is one of the earliest color photographs in existence and was originally taken by Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii as part of his work to document the Russian Empire.
# It was taken using three black-and-white exposures, with red, green and blue filters respectively, long before color photographic printing existed. The three resulting images were projected using color filters to create a color image.
# Emir Said Mir Mohammed Alim Khan (January 3, 1880–April 28, 1944) was the last emir of the Manghit dynasty, the last ruling dynasty of the Emirate of Bukhara in Central Asia. He was the last ruling descendant of the Mongol warlord Genghis Khan.
# Although Bukhara was a protectorate of the Russian Empire from 1873, the Emir presided over the internal affairs of his emirate as absolute monarch and reigned from January 3, 1911 to August 30, 1920.
# At the age of 13 Alim Khan went to St. Petersburg for 3 years to study government and modern military techniques. In 1896 he received a formal confirmation as a crown prince of Bukhara.
# In March 1918 activists of the Young Bukharan Movement (Yeni Bukharlylar) informed the Bolsheviks that the Bukharans were ready for the revolution and that the people were awaiting liberation. The Red Army
marched to the gates of Bukhara and demanded that the emir surrender the city to the Young Bukharans. As Russian sources report, the emir responded by killing the Bolshevik delegation, along with several hundred Russian supporters of the Bolsheviks in Bukhara and the surrounding territories. The Bolshevik army fled back to the Soviet stronghold at Tashkent.
# As the civil war in Russia wound down, Moscow sent reinforcements to Central Asia. On 2 September 1920, an army of well-disciplined and well equipped Red Army troops under the command of Bolshevik general Mikhail Frunze attacked the city. After four days of fighting, Alim Khan’s citadel was destroyed, the Red Flag was raised from the top of Kalyan Minaret. Alim Khan was forced to flee to his base at Dushanbe (in present-day Tajikistan), to Kabul in Afghanistan, where he died in 1944.
# He is buried at the Shuadoi Solehin cemetery.
The madrasa is located in the historical center of Buxoro, is part of the Poi Kalon ensemble of buildings, located southeast of the Ark Citadel.
