So I'm finally on a PBR viewer; my beautiful kids chipped in and bought me a brand new PC for my birthday last month. Before that I had been using a ten year old Alienware laptop and it cried dramatically every time I begged it to take a photo. I've been offline a few weeks for medical reasons so I haven't had the chance to really open her up yet.
However, I've found that I really don't like my usual pale grey eyes in PBR. The new light makes me look washed out and watery - yeah more than even I can deal with. So over the last couple of days I've been experimenting and I think I'm happier with amber eyes now. I took this new profile picture yesterday after chatting to my sister Graz and testing them on her, and have sat with it for 24 hours to be sure this is what I'm happy with moving forward.

I took this in Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX), with my Alienware M15x. I'm able to max out all of the settings without getting any lag... :)
This week I got my new super powered laptop (an Alienware) and after installing my Photoshop 5CS software, I wanted to experiment with the install.
Well this experimenting ended up turning into a new art project for me. I started getting ideas while I was playing with the PS tools and features - the thought of trying to vidually express an emotion of EMPTINESS or DEPRESSION that we all - to varying degrees - get pulled into at times in our lives.
The distinct swirl made up of feathered lines of changing colors from a range of bright and light toward the deeper darker and black colors represent the micro-feelings that go through our mind almost every second of our waking day. The bright colors are feelings peace, contentment, happiness, and excitement. As the colors get deeper and darker, the feelings evolve and descend to concern, worry, fear, helplessness, depression, an pure EMPTINESS.
Its not just ONE feeling we have but a collage of clustered feelings that are stimulated in response to direct response to the events, activities, or situation around each of us. The actual seriousness of these external stimuli upon us as well as how we each process, respond to them, and let it influence our overall feelings will color our emotional landscape.
In this visual expression of EMPTINESS, one can see how feelings and emotions spiral inward from a position of happiness to a vortex of darker helplessness that ultimately ends up in a feeling of depression and being surrounded by emptiness.
As mentioned earlier, this art was completely created in PS. It is 6 layers of color grandients that I worked with tools like SMUDGING, Blending, Dodge, Liquify, and filters. I kept playing with the tools until I got the emotionally visual expression I had in my mind.
The Alienware sneakers are cute, with little creatures to keep you company! They are rigged for Legacy M/F, Jake, Gianni, Kario Flex, MaitreyaX, Reborn, and Kupra. They also come with a Fatpack color hud! The TMD event opens May 5th!

Overall I'm VERY happy with my Alienware laptop. Considering that many of my friends computers get a four in the WIndows Experience Index it was worth the cost.
A video review should be done later today. If it is not it would be because I'm studying for Midterms that are in two weeks.
Also, any Ubuntu users out there? This booted Ubuntu 10.10 in less then 5 seconds!

I once saw Dylan use that 1x4 fence piece in a TT. And then this project started - I knew I could build around it. And it was quite a challenge too.
Please note the alienish "back" in main view that is reminiscent of a jet fighter. I assume Raphy will like this shot .)

Macromonday: Theme is Diversity
This is an alienware M11x. Basically an over-spec'd netbook capable of running modern games, Adobe CS 5, or just about anything else.
And the best thing about it? It is adorned with lights - each of which can be individually controlled to change colour, flash on certain evenmts, etc. No two are ever the same....
I could not wait to build this IRL - gotta trademark that front, y'know! The build started with 1x4 bar technique previously used by Vinny Turbo and Dylan Denton. Wheels are supposed to be usual silver Y-spokes, dunno why they look different here. But thanks to the person who rendered this anyway!

I added a couch, which made things a bit crampt. I basically use the dual monitors primarily, if I want to watch a video or something I will turn on the projector, which acts as a 3rd monitor. The Computer recognizes the HDMI amp is on and the Klipshs will switch off and go to the polks. I want to add more speakers eventually.
This is the desktop to my Alienware M17xr3, I used Rainmeter and Rocketdock plus the Alieanware windows media player, i set the keyboard lights to blue to complement the setup. what do you think of it?
After two of my family's computers died from old age in the past month my parents and I decieded to make an investment in the future ( :P ) and buy an amazing Notebook.
