I wasn't really planning on coming out here to shoot that day, but as I was stuck in rush hour traffic trying to get across the river, I noticed how nice the sky was lighting up. So I was able to get out of the ridiculous traffic and get a few shots off. Win/Win.

The house that made me pull over and walk the streets. Took so many pictures in the neighborhood I grew tired and had to make myself stop. I'll definitely be back for more.

In operation since 1827 the Algiers Point/Canal Street and Lower Algiers/Chalmette ferries traverse the Mississippi, connecting prominent destinations on both banks of the river. Although this may look like the dismal holding area of a prison, it's actually the ferry boarding area on the Algiers side of the Mississippi River.
