Agra Fort was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. The Agra fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The fort can be more accurately described as a walled city with a royal palace.

El Jahangari , fue la principal zenana (palacio para las mujeres de la realeza) del Fuerte de Agra.

Este espectacular edificio , construido durante el mandato del Rajput Akbar , es uno de los mas importantes y bellos de la fortaleza. Su arquitectura contrasta el estilo hindú con algunos toques y señales de Asia central que lo diferencian del resto.

Site of the Agra Fort whose brick walls are entirely covered with red sandstone slabs from Rajasthan.

The name of the fort also comes from these red sandstone slabs.

The Red Fort was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1983.

Gelände des Agra Forts dessen Ziegelsteinmauern gänzlich mit roten Sandsteinplatten aus Rajasthan verkleidet sind.

Von diesen roten Sandsteinplatten rührt auch der Name des Forts. Das Rote Fort wurde 1983 in das UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe aufgenommen.
