Recently someone online claimed that you‘re not a true macro photographer unless you shoot 80+ stacks of insect eyes with diffused flash etc. I guess that excludes me then… well, it‘s not like I call myself an macro photographer regularly anyway. I mostly call myself an photographic experimenter… I wonder when that title might be taken away from me as well. 😂

Such a simple camera to use and a great way into medium format film photography. I bought the Watameter a few weeks after I was given the camera just to complete that 1950's charm. What's your favourite folding camera?

This is my Agfa Ambiflex without the Pentaprism (i have it, but it is not in this picture). I bought this camera because of its waist-level finder - can't help it, i just love looking down into a camera. The lenses are a 2.8/50mm Color Solinar and a 3.4/35mm Color Ambion. The two lenses in the the leather pouch are closup-lenses #I and II - quite handy as the Solinar only focuses down to one meter. The light meter is working and accurate, and the viewfinder is clear and easy to focus with its split-image rangefinder and a fine ground glass. An Agfa feature of that time are the plastic containers for the lenses. Their bottom is filled with silica gel to keep the lenses dry.

Agfa Pan 100 - Developed after 30 years

I found two old roll films in a shoe box with photos. The box moved more than five times with me and was last in the basement.

Now I have developed both films. Unfortunately, this film (the Agfa) stuck to the black paper roll. Hence the effect that looks like rain.

I don't know much about this camera. My parents brought it back from New Zealand a couple of months ago and searching on the internet still has us clueless. If anyone has any information, please leave a comment below ^______^

On black? YES!

Some very old papers have such a high storage fog that they are only suitable for lith development. In addition, sensitivity also decreases, resulting in even longer exposure times than is usual for the lith process.

One of these papers is Record Rapid. I was able to purchase a large quantity of this paper in 50x60cm format. According to the shipping label, it was originally delivered to Bernd and Hilla Becher, who last worked with it at the end of the last century.

To avoid frustration, here is a tip for processing.

The lith developer must not be diluted as much as usual.

Guaranteed lith results are achieved with a dilution of 75+75 ml to 900 ml of water.

The resulting exposure time must be determined by trial and error. With the ‘correct’ exposure time, the snatch point is between 8 and 11 minutes.

Mount Garibaldi is a potentially active stratovolcano in the Sea to Sky Country of British Columbia, 80 km (50 mi) north of Vancouver, Canada. Located in the southernmost Coast Mountains, it is one of the most recognized peaks in the South Coast region, as well as British Columbia's best known volcano. It lies within the Garibaldi Ranges of the Pacific Ranges.

This heavily eroded dome complex occupies the southwest corner of Garibaldi Provincial Park overlooking the town of Squamish. It is the only major Pleistocene age volcano in North America known to have formed upon a glacier.Although part of the Garibaldi Volcanic Belt within the Cascade Volcanic Arc, it is not considered part of the Cascade Range.

I went out last week with the Agfa Flexilette. It's quite a weird camera, a 35mm TLR, only produced during a short period from 1960 till 1961. Taking-lens is a three element Apotar 2.8/45mm. It's quite heavy. Focussing is a bit difficult in harsh sunlight. Buildquality is excellent, I would say almost on Leica-level.....
