The Nord/LB administration building was built between 1998 and 2002 and designed by the architectural firm Behnisch, Behnisch & Partner.
The 18 floors of the high-rise do not follow a strict rectangular arrangement, but are arranged in blocks and twisted against each other. With the exception of the top three floors, there are no two identical ceilings in the tower: the floors are not only partially twisted against each other, but also set back from each other. The tower is stabilized, among other things, by the adjacent parts of the building and a continuous fire shaft running to the rear. However, two steel composite supports carry the majority of the load. They are therefore 1 m thick and partly run outdoors for balance reasons. To prevent the supports from shortening in low temperatures, they must be heated in winter.
This beautiful fence surrounds the city administration of my district in Berlin. The buildings date from the turn of the century, about 1895 - 1905, so I assume this beautiful fence, too.

Coit Tower is a 210-foot (64 m) tower in the Telegraph Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, California, offering panoramic views over the city and the bay. The tower, in the city's Pioneer Park, was built between 1932 and 1933 using Lillie Hitchcock Coit's bequest to beautify the city of San Francisco.
The art deco tower, built of unpainted reinforced concrete, was designed by architects Arthur Brown, Jr. and Henry Howard. The interior features fresco murals in the American Social Realism style, painted by 25 different onsite artists and their numerous assistants, plus two additional paintings installed after creation offsite.

The Adirondack Cottage Sanitarium was a tuberculosis sanatorium established in Saranac Lake, New York in 1885 by Dr. Edward Livingston Trudeau. After Trudeau's death in 1915, the institution's name was changed to the Trudeau Sanatorium, following changes in conventional usage. It was listed under the latter name on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.
The Trudeau Sanatorium closed in 1954, after the discovery of effective antibiotic treatments for tuberculosis. The property was sold by Trudeau's grandson, Dr. Francis B. Trudeau, Jr., to the American Management Association in 19 116
The administration office... - Built in the 17th century, acquired 20 years later to act as the central office for the steel industry. This large building, which has been expanded several times over the years, is now empty and abandoned. The main building is quite large and what remains is a large L-shaped structure spread over 3 floors and a large basement. Abandoned since 1986.

A view of the south side of W. Main Street looking east from the U.S. Post Office constructed by the federal Works Progress Administration in 1939 at the end of The Great Depression. All of the buildings seen beyond the post office lie within the Mount Sterling Commercial Historic District. The district includes four entire city blocks and parts of four others, and was added to the NRHP in 1987.
Mount Sterling is the seat of Brown County. The city had a population of 2,006 at the 2020 census.

The Junior Livestock Building was constructed in 1937 as one of the Great Depression-era federal Works Progress Administration (WPA) projects on the Illinois State Fairgrounds. In 1997, the building was renamed in honor of Orion Samuelson, a retired radio broadcaster who was heard on WGN radio in Chicago for sixty years as the station's head agriculture broadcaster from 1960 through 2020.
This view looking toward the south shows the huge livestock barn. The livestock barn has two levels with 1,100 cattle ties in the lower level and 765 pens in the upper level. Inside are two shows rings of 7,200 and 5,400 square feet.
With a change in national administration, bird flu is no longer being tracked, but it is rampant here in northern Colorado. Yesterday there were 6 goose carcasses on the ice of our small backyard lake, another goose swimming in endless tight circles in the strip of open water, and another goose stumbling and reeling on the ice like a drunk, symptoms of bird flu. Taking advantage of the extensive meal opportunity were 3 adult bald eagles and 4 juvenile/immature bald eagles plus a female northern harrier. These raptors are now at risk for developing bird flu and dying or being unable to have a successful hatch of eggs this spring. Bird flu is now getting into cattle, and there have been some incidences of humans who contracted bird flu.

Large and grey, yet friendly - that sums up the building constructed by St. Moritz architect Nicolaus Hartmann between 1907 und 1910. While its grey, starkly structured façades give the building a majestic appearance, thanks to its large forecourt it is not overpowering. The architecture is an expression of the so-called "Bündner Heimatstil", a movement that took up and developed the traditional style of building of the region. The prestigious yet agreeable administration building is regarded as one of the movement's most significant works.
