Entering the imposing front door to the magnificent Great Hall, visitors step back in time and see the Doric columns of a Roman Basilica, which realised Adam’s instruction to create ‘a palace of Graeco-Roman splendour’.
The decorative stucco work and great beams of the ceiling reflect the pattern of the black and white marble floor. Statues of Roman nobles gaze down from their pedestals and the hall’s focal piece, a replica of Valadier’s bronze ‘The Dying Gaul’, commissioned by the 1st Duchess of Northumberland, holds pride of place at the top of elegant steps leading to the Ante Room.
This place all known as a adam's peak. Lot of Buddhist people visits there for worship because footprint of budhdha and love to see the sunrise through the mountains

One of the few shots of Adam's Lake within Tsútswecw (Roderick Haig-Brown) Provincial Park that I managed to get before we were driven back to the car by ravenous mosquitoes :-( Turns out Adams Lake is ranked 6th deepest in the world! Wish we could've seen more of it.
Thought I'd sneak it in early for the Fence Friday group. HFF!

This shot was taken near the beginning of the Adam's Canyon Hike near Layton, Utah. Pink and white wildflowers were growing along the side of the trail in this part of the hike.

BZ Glenwood Highway, Conboy Wildlife Refuge, Washington
I headed up north last weekend in search of aspen groves in the vicinity of Mount Adams. I was pretty happy with what I found up there and some of the autumn colors were looking really nice. This is the smallest aspen grove I found but it had the best view of the mountain. Sometimes being the smallest one in the area has its advantages.
I know it's not Colorado, but the southern side of the Conboy Wildlife Refuge holds its own.
